YouTubers.

Someone’s done a deep dive into pro golf records of YT “creators”, it’s worth a read, here is a few highlights:
Grant Horvat: No appearances on any OWGR tours. He didnt actually play a Korn Ferry Tour event, he was the AM in a pro am. Did finish T25 in a minor league golf event, which is one of the better mini tour circuits
Luke Kwon: Currently ranked #2187, Peaked at world #631. Played on PGA tour China, got a win there, got promoted to KFT and failed to retain status, fell back to Latin America before quitting pro golf. 2/4 cuts made on the Asian Tour this season which is why he has a current world ranking.

Taco: Currently ranked #4751, Peaked at world #1221. Many events played on the Australasia Tour and Korean Tour with a few high finishes. Won the 2021 NZ PGA Championship but it was not an OWGR event that year.

Nick Voke: Currently ranked #510, Peaked at world #240. Still an active pro on the Asian tour but appears in a bunch of content. 3 wins on PGA tour China, a few seasons on the KFT with a T2, and currently playing well on the Asian Tour + has a recent win on the Australasia Tour.

Bryan Bros:

Wes: Currently ranked #357, Peaked at world #37. 3 KFT wins and 1 PGA Tour win. Performance declined a ton from 2018-2023 with injuries but was playing pretty well recently until the suspension.

George: Currently ranked #3836, Peaked at world #1341. One T4 in Latin America and one cut made on the PGAT from a couple years ago.

Rick Shiels: boonkah

Bryson DeChambeau: Played on the pga tour until he suffered career ending emotional damage from tripping on a rope

Peter Finch: I didnt know if he ever pursued pro golf full time since he was a club pro, but the has 3 events played on the EuroPro Tour from 2016-2018. All were missed cuts.

The boys rounds with Bryan Bros at Solena were pure gold, George crumbling during a “no practice” rule change was as fun as Lydia and Taco trying “Korean only” on the last hole. 🙃

They’re the best on YouTube at the minute actually funny and bloody good golfers

Sams had one of the best comebacks on that vid where he played the mini tour event and the guy caddying asked “is there anything that like helps when you’re nervous?” “Yeah giving up “ genuinely caught me off guard and laughed out loud

😂

Sam’s match with Wes was great, he used his “sneaking up” technique which looked like being distracted and then quickly hitting the ball. 🙃

I think we all have to remember, we all watch YouTube for different reasons. Watching amateurs, scratch golfers, tour pro's, for locations and courses, for golfing tips, for fun, or just to pass an hour or so.

Everyone will have a favourite for sure, but we will all have different favourites.

Sky are showing some creator comp with you tube or tik tok golfers

It’s not a great watch , it’s a bit rubbish tbh

Some guy calling himself the short game king 🤦‍♂️
I lose track of all the creator classic, duels, majors etc etc. Haven’t we just had one of these?

I watched the Meandmygolf guys at the titleist Drs lab. One of them was put through the whole tests … watching some of the tests made my body wince and I am only 52 ! I don’t know if I would pass any due to missing ligaments and sitting in a chair all day for work.
I have decided though to resume some form of yoga off the back of this.

Warren takes on a course I've never heard of 😳

I found this guy’s content a few days ago. Watched several of his ‘played at’ vids and really enjoyed them.

One of the might be of interest to @2blue Seaton Carew. Not the best course in the area, that’s Cleveland ;), but definitely worth a visit. If anything, the vid doesn’t come close to showing how good Seaton really is.

For anyone who watches or listens to the talk golf Scotland guys their new episode playing hickory golf at Kingarrock is a good watch, looks a right good laugh

I saw that this morning. I did wonder if he actually spent a penny of these giveaways from his own pocket or if they were freebies from the companies/courses
I think they are the freebies. I think Liam is in the position that his content is time consuming but that it's his main source of income. Most of the other high profile youtubers are pga pros and can offer lessons at premium prices because of their profile. I like the guy and like the channel but unfortunately not enough to pay him for it. I can't see him lasting long with his current set up unless he's already converted a sizable number to his new club.
