The golf snob in me absolutly hates seeing people walking onto the course in jeans and trainers, if someone doesn't observe the dress code its a fair assumption course rules are ignored too!

I'm sure there are more - discuss!

People who don't play provisionals then come jogging/waddling back to the tee you're waiting on, red faced and gasping having already taken 5 minutes or more thrashing about in the bushes without waving your group through, who then in a 'we're all mates in it together' tone proceed to explain what an unfathomable mystery it is that their ball ain't in the middle of the fairway as we amble back to the bench (if there is one) and wait another 5 minutes, normally when it's raining.

Crows stealing balls,
Dress code abusers,
Litterers,
Drunks,
Buggy drivers,
Slow players,
People who don't rake bunkers,
People who leave their bag on the wrong side of the green,
Gingers,
Lefties,
Anyone playing Ping,
People not putting divots back,
People not shouting fore,
People playing through,
People not playing up,
People who wait for the green to clear, from 280 yards, when their drive only just broke the 200 mark.
People with hats on backwards,
People in footy shirts,
Or not tucked in,
Stones in the fairway, that dink your new sticks.
Crowned holes,
Slow greens,
6" deep rough, 2 foot past the pin,
Loosing balls,
Ponds,
Slippery grass banks that make you fall on your bum,
Rain,
Particularly snow,
Losing money,
Playing off 12, after 20 years, the same.

There are loads of things, I am a very intolerant person.
How long have I got?

You think that's annoying?
Dont get me started on 10 practice swings, 25 waggles and 18 swing thoughts before every shot...and another thing, people with voices waaaaay too loud to be on a golf course....and another thing, golf bores in the 19th. Me, me, me, me, me....and another thing, committees stuck in the middle ages with antiquatted views like women shouldn't be allowed on the course at weekends.....and another thing, every committee member having a reserved parking space  enough already?

impatient golfers,
Those who want to get round in 2 hours, rarely complete a hole and expect everyone else to make way for them,
the 'I didn't think it would reach' crowd (yeah, right)

Those are exactly the kind of things that get me peeved bobmac, not so much pace of a round but those who create extra time just by their actions.Other than that , very little annoys me. Except those who go on about dress codes as if it makes the man or the golfer or as something more important than the game, scruffy is scruffy no matter what you wear just as neat and tidy can be in various dress format. If there is a code, I follow it, if its a more relaxed place, I dont let a pair of jeans affect me or my game, nor do I judge them. ;)

Fully agree with this. These are the ones who, when waiting behind you on tee, will talk through your backswing.

Even though we normally play municipal pay and plays, there is still supposed to be a dress code and we all follow it. People in vest tops on the course should be chucked in the nearest lake!

Coincidentally, there was a woman playing the Aussie open in a vest top, no sleeves, no collar, with Ping written on it, and then a slogan underneath.
I would not be allowed to clean the gutters in my club wearing this, why is the womens dress code so different?

Because we'd look really bad in those white skirts they wear????

Not a fan of footie shirts or jeans by any stretch but I could cope with a more sporty dress code.

1) People who think they own the course
2) People who dont play provisionals
3) Ignorant scumbags who wont let anyone through
4) People who dont repair pitchmarks, the moan about shite greens to anyone who will listen
5) People who have no respect for others playing a stroke, i.e walking past a guy teeing off whilst rabbiting to his chums, laughing and slurping a drink.

Clubhouse bore
I was cornered once after a medal round buy a guy who proceeded to tell me every shot he had hit during the round.
Every bad lie, every unlucky bounce, every spike mark that knocked his ball out of the hole, what clubs he used, where he bought them, the fantastic shots he hit :( and generally how unlucky he was to shoot 105 off 15.
The sad thing was, I was playing with him for the round  When he finally walked away, he hadn't even asked me my score.
Do you have a clubhouse bore at your club?

Speak for yourself FFTD i think i'd look very fetching in a white skirt :D

See I have a problem with dress codes both in golf and my other "sport" archery.

Why can women wear trainer socks with shorts and I have to wear white sports socks or knee length like my dad or granddad.

Why do I have to have my shirt tucked in - the only shirt I wear tucked in is a formal shirt with a tie as a fatter bloke tucked in shirt= less comfortable. Oh yes cause my dad wears his tucked in.

You see the dress code mimics older generations who wear their shorts at Weymouth with calf length white socks etc....
