Does anyone use the white castle tees for their driver?

Have used the pink ones for years now but have now joined a links course and my high tees shots at times are going nowhere in the wind

Thought maybe going to the next one down from the pink tee might help keep the ball a bit lower

I have used them when playing off mats with my driver this winter at times. I can't say I used them to get a lower ball flight though, it was more about finding the sweet spot consistently.

I did for a while as had problems with skying the driver but unless you hit it perfect it can make what you are trying to do worse.... I found they promoted Downward hits = ballooning high spinny shots.

Tee the ball lower and you'll tend to hit down on the ball creating back spin and lift....
Tee higher, hit up on the ball create less backspin and the ball should bore through the wind better

In theory.....

have to agree with you imurg ,teeing it low dosent automatically mean you shots will be lower,

Castle tees? Sorry they are just a bit *** I see guys using bright pink ones and don't think I would if I was payed. White wooden tees, it's the only way lol

On a serious note, tees are so cheap why not buy a packet and see if they have the desired effect, or just use wooden tees as you can set them at any height

I've switched to the golf pride Tees as said above but castle Tees are good for knowing you are setting it to the same height every time... so good for a degree of consistency for us amateurs

Better option might be a driving iron.

Worth a look, think the tiger 2 iron around Hoylake.

Other option would be a lesson to learnt to hit a lower spinning drives.

A pal of mine uses the White Castle tees and I have never seen anyone hit them so high.

I use pinks, and tee height is the most consistent part of my game. I feel with whites I'd be drawn to hit more down on the ball.

That said I do hit high on the face with pinks compared to centre strikes with whites but I don't appear to be spinning them up (back).

I use them and am a good driver of the ball. Ideal height for me.

To those golf snobs that think castle tees are for hackers, my playing partners last week all used pink castle tees. Their handicaps are +2, 1 and 3. And the guy off +2 is a right bandit!

I normally vary between pink and orange for the winter....tried using white once but they were too low for me and I found myself hitting down on the ball.

Normally use wood ones once there's no tee mats in play.

Lol not a golf snob I just wouldn't use bright pink tees they look *** each to their own I've beaten many a +2 guys in scratch team games, can't remember them using castle tees. One of my mates uses pink castle tees and I tell him they are *** all the time haha

I use Pink castles because they give a pretty consistent height and after trying various others they are the ones that suit my driving.

I really don't care what others think of them.
