White Castle Tees

Teeing height is just second nature surely, not something I can say I've ever thought about. If I want to hit it low I tee it low, to hit it high tee it high and hit up on it, if it's just stock I tee it so 1/3Rd of the ball is above the top line but it's second nature, maybe I've played too much

I use the orange ones

I really don't understand the hate for them. Consistency is a massive factor in the amateur game, and these easily make one variable consistent.

Pretty confident if you play golf regularly your going to be teeing it within a couple of mm every time. The rest well that's just down to how your swinging the club not the tee, I know people like to blame stuff for inconsistencies but cmon man

Castle tees? Sorry they are just a bit *** I see guys using bright pink ones and don't think I would if I was payed. White wooden tees, it's the only way lol

On a serious note, tees are so cheap why not buy a packet and see if they have the desired effect, or just use wooden tees as you can set them at any height

Trolling aside, Castle tees are good for consistent height imo. As long as I know the tee is the same height everytime then I can set my drive accordingly. I don't know anyone that uses wooden whites anymore tbh.

I find pink a little high for me, but white a little low. I found a wooden tee shaped like the castle tees that sit in-between the pink and white height wise - perfect for me. Also another fan of the castle tees for consistency. Couldn't imagine using others

When I first started playing I used pink castle, then went to white castle and now use golf pride wooden tees (yellow).

Had a feeling I was between tee heights.

Might be in my head but hitting off a wooden tee just feels better!

Each their own l think. The Pride Golf "blue band" tees give the height l want.

We've had the pink castle tee debate before and no doubt will have it again. But to hate the colour and shape of something so banal as a golf tee says, I think, more about the person than the tee.

i use the pink ones over winter, but only because i'm tight;) and they go in the ground easier if its frosty. once we go back on the full course we have a big bin on the first tee you can help yourself to of wooden ones.

as for hitting it high or low as Bob says its not the tee thats going to make a difference

My problem with castle tees is how many do you need?
Ok, so you've changed your colour to hit it lower.........what happens when you want to hit it high?
Then what colour do you use for your 3 wood/5wood/hybrid/long iron/short iron/wedges etc.

I use the long plastic tees.
One size fits all and never break.

Not sure about your place, but it's a nightmare trying to get those plastic tees into the ground at ours in the winter to a height you're happy with.

I'm fairly new to golf and a little confused, I was told by a pro that teeing it up high and swinging up on it would increase height and If I tee it low and back in my stance then it will go lower. Been practicing this at the range and its been working really well, I've even started to tee it a little lower on pressure shots as it seems to keep it down the middle.

Is this wrong?

If it's working then stick with it
