Hello.
Has anyone tried out the new T series clubs yet ? Im being tempted by new clubs and these do look nice. I was away when my club did a demo day recently.

Not hit any yet, but I think they have made an absolute breakthrough with the numbering and lofts on the T400.

5 - 20°
6 - 23°
7 - 26°
8 - 29°
9 - 33°
PW - 38°

I'm going to be able to hit a 9-iron further than I've ever hit one in my life!

But then I would have to buy another 4 wedges. Something like,

AW - 43°
GW - 48°
SW - 54°
LW - 60°

5 irons and 5 wedges.
Brilliant.
Can't wait.

Take me to that higher ground.

Wow. Is there a 1 iron with 7° ? Presumably.

Looks are the way to go though. If you think they look nice, go for them. Golf club choice is all aesthetics.

I am truly staggered to see its £1,250 for 7 irons ! This is surely as mad as it can get

I mean you'd be looking at nearly 3 grand for a full set of clubs (not even top price option) and still no bag to put them in

Thats withou upgrading the shafts. That price is only for the standard unstable noodles. £5k for a full set really.

Going for a fitting tomorrow so will find out how they perform.
Thoughts are a blended set
PW T150/100
9 T150
8. T150
7. T200
6. T200
5. T350
Main thing will be ball flight, looking for a higher flight in the longer irons than my current set so shaft choice is important.

Its a lot of money, but just imagine bragging to your mates that you are hitting a 9-iron as far as they are hitting a 7-iron.
Surely that justifies the price.
And then there is that really impressive array of wedges in your bag. Makes you look like a Real Player.
You get what you pay for.

This is not a new phenomenon, my friends TM irons are crazy strong.

I will be playing tomorrow with a 9-iron from 1961 with 49°.
My Ping irons from 2008 have a 9-iron with 42°.
Both sets are very good clubs.

That is a shift of 7° over 47 years.

A shift of 9° in the last 15 years is a new phenomenon.

And it is a crazy one.

If people buy it - they accept it - they want it.

My 2015 cobra fly-z 9iron is 40° so that's 7° in less than 8 years to what titleist are doing now

Classic forum bingo.

Guy asks about new irons and people start talking about clubs front the 60s🤪

Do you think people who were playing in the 1920 complained about newfangled irons with steel shafts and numbers stamped on the bottom?

How do the lofts work out in such a set?

The resale price of such a set may be poor compared to a matching set.

I always imagine them pulling up to the golf club in their Morris 1100 because, well we don't want all that new fangled driving aids making driving easier and more comfortable... :ROFLMAO:

I’ve not hit the new ones but did like the previous 150s and 200s. I was tempted by a set of the black ones, but other than the colour there was no real difference to my current Pings to justify the outlay.

Go to a proper Titliest fitting centre and they will be able to do a blended set that is best for you.

Black irons have become a “thing” in recent times. For me once a bit of wear I think they don’t look great

Sure the lofts get a touch stronger in the more forgiving models. So in my case the longer irons I want to just put a normal swing on it and have a club that launches higher into greens. This last year on long par 3,s and 4,s I’m having to try to launch it high but if I use the right clubs made for it I can just hit my normal swing on it. I will check gaps but I don’t think they will be too great at my swing speed and if need be tweek lofts.
I’m on a mission for a scratch handicap so all the help I can get.
