Not hit any yet, but I think they have made an absolute breakthrough with the numbering and lofts on the T400.

5 - 20°
6 - 23°
7 - 26°
8 - 29°
9 - 33°
PW - 38°

I'm going to be able to hit a 9-iron further than I've ever hit one in my life!

But then I would have to buy another 4 wedges. Something like,

AW - 43°
GW - 48°
SW - 54°
LW - 60°

5 irons and 5 wedges.
Brilliant.
Can't wait.

Take me to that higher ground.
That 9i is bang between my 7&8!

On one side, if they’re reliable then the number doesn’t matter but the flip side is that you essentially have two gap wedges which makes it a bit false advertising. We could do with some standardising in the market which states a club between x° & y° is a 7i etc.

Jacking up lofts is really annoying & only done for marketing purposes.
Surely irons are your scoring & accuracy clubs?
I want irons that are user friendly & accurate, with distance control I can rely on.

I hit my 7 iron 150 yards, with 10 yard distance steps between my irons.
If I need distance, I've got other clubs to do that job.
People buy new sets of irons & wonder why they can't hit them or hit them lower, never stopping to think that maybe their new 7 iron now has the loft of their old 5 iron.
Ridiculous.

If you have 150 to a pin you hit you 150 club. I shouldn’t worry about the number stamped on the bottom. Lofts are stronger but most don’t buy the 3 iron like they used to, just have an extra wedge 😂

I learnt something new today. Apparently lofts are stronger than they used to be and people are bothered by this!
Why has this never been mentioned before?
🥱
I was asking if anyone has tried the latest T series irons, idm what the lofts are.

A friend went to a fitting the other week and said that all of the new Titleist options launch in the same window, no matter what the loft or head style.

I think I seen a comment on that on one of the you tube reviews. Not sure if it referred to all the irons of 1 set hitting the same apex. I’m not sure I could hit a T100 4 iron as high as a T350 4 iron.
Then shaft options can alter height also.

T200 are excellent, very forgiving likewise the 350s but they are chunky.

I always imagine them pulling up to the golf club in their Morris 1100 because, well we don't want all that new fangled driving aids making driving easier and more comfortable... :ROFLMAO:
"Nowt so queer as folk" is a very old saying.

I know lots of people who think it is great to live in an old house, listen to old music and appreciate old paintings.
They might like to go to an old theatre and watch an old play.
Some people have vintage cars as a hobby.

I have vintage golf clubs as a hobby.
I have never ever thought to myself, "Old clubs good, new clubs bad" as a mantra or an explanation or justification of my hobby.
There are rubbish old clubs and there are some fine examples of golf club design and manufacture from times gone by.

So if a person is an appreciator of old art, old music, old literature, old architecture or old cars, I see no need to put them down, ridicule them or dismiss them as idiots.
