All depends on a players mindset at the end of the day

Klopp is regarded as one of the best managers in the world. We have been one of the best teams in the world over the last 5 years - would a player judge on that or just look at the current loss of form.

Would he think that the club with the players they have be back within the year and he would be a part - or would he think that it’s going to be years before the club get back.

If we didn’t have Klopp then I think the chances would be very slim - but Klopp is key to it all

That is true

Klopp is regarded as one of the best managers in the world
So is Pep, if not better

Liverpool have been one of the best teams in the world over the last 5 years
Not as good as City

If these are the debates put forward to suggest why Bellingham would join Liverpool, then these reasons would suggest he is more likely to go to man City than Liverpool.

You then throw in other issues like finances and where each club is NOW, then City win hands down

The only thing I thing that works in Liverpool's favour, looking from the outside, is that if Bellingham admitted his favourite colour is red rather than sky blue. That, or if Bellingham actually came out as made it public he'd much rather be at Liverpool.

Well, now the window is closed, aside from not moving on some of the dead wood, I can’t really complain as the owner has stuck to his word and given the team what they need.

Chris Wood
Uninspiring but necessary signing, given Taiwo seems to have sustained a relatively serious injury.

Keylor Navas
Again, a necessary signing given the unfortunate injury to Henderson a few weeks ago and given that Wayne Hennessey has the reaction times of a dead horse.

Gustavo Scarpa and Danilo
Absolutely inspired signings. Both came from the same club in Brazil and have slotted right in already and have shown their class. We are a better team with these two in the squad. (Renan Lodi has also improved and looks more comfortable with some of his country mates in the dressing room)

Felipe
Our best centreback has been sidelined since August which left us VERY thin on the ground and weak at the back. Boly came in and has shored things up since but has picked up a niggle. Felipe’s experience and (slightly) better speed should improve things further and is definitely a step up from McKenna and Steve Cook (who I still love but just not sure they’re the answer against some of the premier league’s attacking groups. Should also slot right into the squad now we have half of Brazil in it ??

Jonjo Shelvey
Again, not the most exciting signing but knows what it takes at this level and still has some decent attacking play in him. Should help develop some of the younger squad and knows Chris Wood and Ginger Pirlo well from their Newcastle days. Downside is I don’t think they’d have made this signing if MGW wasn’t going to be sidelined for a while…hopefully I’m wrong. He’s worth every penny we end up paying Wolves for him.

Overall, happy, and even happier that every other fan on Twitter seems to be rattled by our “scattergun” signings. Should hopefully give us enough strength and depth to stay up and still spent less on 26 players in 2 windows than Chelsea have on 2 of their players in this window ?

A post from a Nottingham Forest fan, summing up some of their signings, was always going to be a long one :)

Not sure a clubs history will have anything to do with where Bellingham goes,& it did he’d go to Madrid ?‍♂️
Liverpool have won one league title in his life time.
It’ll come down to money & where he can win things imo.
But surely Klopp must be confident in getting him or he’d have signed a midfielder this window.

If you were Bellingham's agent would you point him towards City or Liverpool right now? You are having a wobble, may miss CL, may need a year of rebuild. Will that work straight away or not. City ............. none of that, would slot in straight away. Can you out offer City on the wages front by that much?

I agree that he would be perfect for you but does he need to take that risk? (a year ago it wasn't a risk at all, such is football)
All I would say to that is.
given the squad City have will he play every week ? He will at Liverpool.
for some ( not many ) it’s not about money.

I don't think Bellingham will doubt that he will play most games. I don't think that will enter his head. He isn't going to city to be a squad player.

Whether you or I agree is another matter but he will see himself as a starter there.

As to money, liverpool won't be offering pennies. You pay big money. His decision, I suspect, is about which team can offer him the best opportunity to compete for trophies year after year. This season couldn't have come at a worse time for liverpool to tempt him on that point.

Not sure I agree with this when he will have his pick of the top clubs. Is the draw of Klopp and Liverpools history really enough to overcome no CL?
We don’t know is the answer.
we like to think we do but we don’t!
only Bellingham knows and we will find out in the summer.

Given the main criteria seems to be CL football, how many of them have City won.?
How many have Liverpool won.?
what team is he more likely to win the CL with.?

Liverpool will build a team around Bellingham.
Will city ?
KDB will have a say in that imo.
KDB is the best in the world for me so think he will be the main man for a while yet.!

You didn’t answer all the questions.

Citys defence is crap .
it’s the reason they havnt won CL as big clubs are not scared of them like most prem teams
I think City are more likely to win the CL tbh.
Do you honestly think Liverpools defence is any better?
And look at the midfielders he’d be playing along side at Liverpool ?

At the moment no.
but Citys main defence is they don’t give you the ball.
that might work in the PL but big teams in the CL are not scared of City ,that’s the difference imo.

our defenders are ok you don’t become rubbish overnight.
our strikers are firing blanks but that will change.

I agree our midfield is a problem has been for a while.
I would put Gomez RB and TAA in midfield with Tiago and Bellingham. Plus one more buy hopefully .
I can see the ribbons on the CL trophy already but maybe not next year.;)
Hopefully Bellingham dosnt think about just next season but long term.

I might be wrong but we’re only guessing.

And what about if he wants to win Premier league titles?
Where would you go? ?‍♂️

He’s probably better off going to Madrid ?

KDB will be 32 in June. Pep might be looking at Bellingham as his long term replacement? As someone else pointed out, look who he would be playing alongside in terms of midfielders at City. That has to be pretty tempting.

I think if this was a year ago this would be a much tighter call. You need to turn your season around quickly (says the Everton fan ?)

A lot of messages to unpick.

Which team will he most likely win CL with? City of course. It'll be difficult to win with Liverpool if they are not in it! City are also a better side, so no reason why City won't have a better chance than Liverpool, even in the next few years Liverpool are in it.

Will he get into the City side? Of course. He isn't a Kalvin Phillips or even a Grealish type player. He is a Haaland type player.

What will KDB say? Who cares. They cam both play in same side. KDB is 32 in the summer, so Bellingham would be a huge player in that City side, possibly for a good bit over a decade.

The fact he will get in Liverpool side every week is not an incentive. He'll do that wherever he goes.
