The Cricket Thread

The only option for this game is Surrey rack up 700+ and then bowl Durham out twice which looks pretty likely. The Surrey commentary crew of Daniel Norcross and Jeremy Coney have been going on about the Kookaburra ball all morning. Unlike a Kiwi like Coney to have it in for something Australian :ROFLMAO:

Surrey are racking up a huge score at the Oval against Durham but what is great from the live feed is that they have around 3,000 local schoolkids there on free tickets. Sounds like a great atmosphere, the weather is great and an excellent way to promote the game.

Today is the Schools Out cricket day and I believe most counties are doing it as part of a “red ball festival” at some point - some have had it already

Good initiative

The biggest shame is that none of the county matches are on Sky

Surrey just about to go past 700 and no sign of stopping yet - it's now really funny.
Stat of the day from the Surrey channel - somone put out that Dom Sibley was 321 runs away being the first to reach 1,000 for the season - almost as a joke. He's 288 not out right now so in range :)

Wouldn't like to be a bowler there today - one has gone for 224 runs (so far :ROFLMAO: )

I think he got over 260 by the end - Surrey were chasing their all-time record of 811 before tea and lost a few wickets. 803 for 8. The radio guys were giving a shout out to a couple of the Durham players who signed a ton of autographs for kids whilst play was going on.

671 to avoid the follow-on, the most expensive bowling figures in County Championship history and the highest score ever made in cricket history for a team being put into bat.
As Roy Castle would have said, "and that's a record breaker"

Wow. That’s awful from the on field umpires and the third umpire.

England get Jaiswal LBW, India review, but they are clearly out of time on the DRS timer. And the review is allowed?

Good job the decision was a good one but I’ll bet Stokes is absolutely fuming.

Really, really poor.
