Most of the 'controversy' in this series is coming form England, thought it would have been a quieter series without Kohli. Stokes is showing himself up as a poor captain, no real plans to set fields and to bowl to them, always moving the field and this is contributing to the appalling over rates this series. He appears to have no confidence in the bowling attack he has chosen and is over bowling himself when not fit, will be interesting to see how long he is out after this series.

Saw it on social media.. as usual cant make head or tail of that.. Some have shown Gambhir having a go because he was told they are too many and too close to square. The Counter argument has photos of Macullum and the English players on the square. Agree, this series is a gift that keeps on giving. If Gambhir pisses off the groundsmen and they prepare a belter or a banana pitch, he will be hard done by it. Pick your fights..

finally caught up with 'shake my hand and get declaration' when they were in their 80/90s. The guys were entitled to their centuries. Unlike Stokes's "do you want to score a century against Brook & Duckett" comment, he forgot that they scored the first 90 runs against the frontline attack including himself. Would have been funny if one of the batters had turned around and told him, ... "why dont u bowl or ask Archer to".... Spoilt child.

I really like the guy.. got a heart of a lion... but he seems to have a brain fade when things dont go in his favour.

the picture of MacCullum on the square is from 2023. its easy to spot due to the different kits being worn. mind it hasnt stopped one eyed India fans going wild about it on SM :ROFLMAO:

They wrapped up the tail nice and quickly this morning - hopefully the heavy roller will quieten any demons in the pitch for England's innings.
 
Only seen highlights but can't believe how green that wicket is. Don't remember seeing a late summer test wicket like it.
Even a middle-aged medium pace trundler like me would fancy their chances of getting in the wickets. Could be a 3-day test match.

Thought tongue and Overton were really poor and we should have been about 160 behind rather than 200 and odd

J Overton shouldn’t be near the test squad - moving to Surrey ruined him

His brother is the better player now

J Overton has fallen into the One day/T20 mode where he has pace to add value but can score a quick 20/30 in the lower order. Add injuries to that and he hasn't played much of a role in the red ball team.

Neither brother should ever have been near the Test team.

Decent county players but not international quality.
