The Cricket Thread

Already a cricket thread

It's an argument that split cricket, still does as far as the record books are concerned. I don't buy the discrimination issue, that's just one of those things. Should you change the rules for 1 person, opening the floodgates for others?
Each one is a tough call, I haven't seen that guy bowl so I can't comment on his example. However, throwing isn't bowling and thems the rules 🤷‍♀️. It's cricket, not baseball ;)

I don’t disagree with you. With regards discrimination, making a law that fits all across international boundaries is impossible. And the ‘usual’ get out that could be applied is “reasonable accommodation.”

I’d add Mulinga the slinger into the mix too. He didn’t always release above shoulder height as his head dipped to the left.

That’s some recovery by Leicestershire in their top of Division 2 clash at Derby. From 0-2 to 357-3, with two centurions and a third still there at stumps on 99 not out.

At this rate, India will be in for an innings defeat. Good batting but equally really poor bowling - looks like India did not learn anything from Eng

Looks like unless something dramatic happens it’s going to be a draw
Eng needs one session to end it.. most likely a session led by Stokes. Once this partnership is done, it is in the tail since Pant can’t bat. The rest are hanging by a thread… should be all wrapped by well before tea tomorrow.. maybe before lunch.

Eng or Draw … mostly Eng

Test cricket is alive.. cheeky gesture to offer a draw while both batsman in 90s.. not sure why people are were upset and saying against spirit, when batsman did not accept it.

Cook on TNS said if Eng was offered and if they had a no 6 batsman in 90s, then Eng would not accept it either.

My son was other extreme.. his view was Eng has never played for a draw in Bazball. So India should declare with about 10 overs left and 80 runs to get … then see how Stokes reacts. Interesting concept.
