Smith not a number 3, Livingstone not international class and Wood too fragile to last a competition/series. Also having doubts about whether Salt is good enough. Also need to look at bringing a spinner in to be replacement for Rashid in next year or so.

. Time to retire some names here. Interesting a few years ago Root couldn't get in as "he wasn't the right fit". Currently he and Duckett are the only ones who understand its not T20.
