Gutted for Stokes , great knock
“Stick to the rules and take wickets”. What a terrible mentality.Stupid by Bairstow - lack of awareness and smart thinking by Carey but it has a bit of a stench attached to it. It is the sort of mentality that Aussies have in cricket

It is absolutely right. It’s trying to get an advantage for a run.Being run out whilst backing up is still allowed within the laws of the game, as far as I’m aware. It doesn’t make it right, though.
Many people still consider that he had the ball under control. I think I’d have considered myself in control of that catch as well but it was rightly ruled out when examined more closely. If they stuck to the rules, Starc wouldn't have been claiming that catch last night. Though Sandpapergate proved conclusively that the rules don't matter to the majority of this Australian team.
Here’s a fact so many people chose to ignore: not every act that breaks a rule is cheating.

Of course I would. No one should shake the hand of someone they don’t respect and if the run out has caused the England players to lack the respect of their counterparts, they shouldn’t shake their hands.Nowhere in the rules does it say that you have to shake hands with the opposition after the game but it is good sportsmanship to do so. I assume that you would fully support England refusing to shake hands with the Aussies at the end of the game because they're "sticking to the rules"?
