Bit of an update.
Knock on the door and it’s the photographer with his daughter.
He has a bouquet for the wife and a bottle of whiskey for me.
Turns out he sent the same message to his niece and his daughter.
His daughter read it this morning and went straight to him and explained it was inappropriate.
He was mortified and came to apologise and explain what he wanted was a few friends and drinks and take some nice pics of the girls in nice dresses etc.
Maybe some more raunchy ones but nothing rude and it would be the girls choices what to wear and how much to show and we would all be invited as well.

All very innocent if a bit stupid on his part.

We had a chat and he is going to retire and do photography full time/as much as he can.

We discussed it and he thinks weddings and christening is the best route to take.

I didn’t have the heart to tell him he is rubbish.

So alls well now and Lucifer you can stand your man down

Doing weddings etc is a tough gig to crack, even more so since the world went digital. Long gone are the days you can just had over a few dozen pics in an album (I’m sure he’ll know this)

He mustn’t underestimate how many ppl book a photographer for those kind of days based more on personalities/behaviour/instantly building relationships. Lots of ppl can knock up decent pictures but lots would be unable to bond/communicate with 100 guests and in particular the couple

He might also consider corporate work for something a bit less time critical and a lot less emotional

I think my suggestions would like get you charged with assault !

If that were my daughters I’d be absolutely fuming. But then I’m not the most sensible person when it comes to people upsetting my flower and kids. People can insult me all they want I literally don’t care, but anything toward those I love I can’t seem to remain calm.

I guess all you can do is msg him telling him to go have a word with himself and about his behaviour being inappropriate. The biggest thing is the age of your girls if they were young then there’s definitely a legal standpoint.

Good luck with this one mate, I don’t envy you!

If you need someone to do bad things and make him disappear I know a guy that’s good with weapons and bury a body in the Arctic where it won’t be found

Edit: I should add this is why I’m not a good person my first instinct is to be defensive of my kids and not be as balanced as you. So hopefully you find a way to do this much more sensibly than I would.

I think the issue with wedding photography is that ‘everyone’ can replicate the shot the photographer takes with a smartphone WHEN the photographer is there, arranging stuff, managing people, getting the right light conditions, … . The technical bit is secondary these days, especially when you take many shots in bracketing mode.
So you look at their pictures and your friends snaps, and the professional doesn’t look a couple of thousand pounds better.
BUT if the professional wouldn’t be there none of those would look any good either.

A friend of mine who is really good hobby photographer spends his weekend carrying secondary flashes and stuff for a professional.

It's such a strange and obviously innappropriate one that I had two possible thoughts:

1) Is he on the autistic spectrum somewhere - struggles with social boundaries and interactions, especially when he gets fixated on something?
2) Does he have a different meaning for "glamour" photography than the rest of the world? Is he meaning elegant glamorous ladies in stylish dresses while the rest of us hear that phrase and think he means tits out Page 3?

I have two professional photographers in my wife's family. I've got to say after watching them in action a few times, the actual point the camera with the right settings on bit is (relatively) easy, but the interactions with people are the real difficult skilled bit - they're amazing at it - no way could I do what they do! Especially at weddings; obviously it's a bit like herding cats already, and getting good shots of key events from good angles while not disrupting anything as well as persuading the various groups to pose for you in various locations while making sure nobody gets really annoyed or that you start to become the centre of the day rather than a side part is an absolute artform. You have to be an extremely skilled coaxer and diplomat

So yeah, given his social skills, your mate sounds like he'd be the absolute worst wedding photographer on the planet

BT Broadband. No fewer than 11 times in the last 10 months I have reported a fault - broadband constantly dropping out or returning dial-up speeds. The engineers can’t agree if it’s a network or hardware issue.

Sorry to say I’ve just phoned them and absolutely lost it with them. The last engineer came last Thursday, said there was a definite network issue and that another engineer would visit, and that the fault would remain “open” until resolved. I went online earlier to check the status of the report, only to find that BT had run remote tests, found no issues, and closed the fault without telling me. This despite the broadband still repeatedly dropping.

Another engineer booked for Thursday. Hope he or she is wearing ear defenders on their arrival because I’m not HP.

It’s odd how Irip has mentioned the guy is rubbish at taking photos. A guy I knew from work ( eagle chick) coz he looks like a baby eagle chick. He is in Japan at the moment. He has been posting loads of pictures on Facebook. Quite frankly they have been rammel and do not do the place justice at all. The place is full of cherry blossom. His photos look like they are from the allotment. Mount Fuji was covered in Cloud when he went so he took a photo of Mount Fuji on a pamphlet to show us what it looked like. Anyone fancy seeing a photo of a Japanese toilet

Makes no difference my man the suppressor (silencer) won’t muffle the supersonic “crack” of the round passing through the air, all It would do is muffle the immediate retort sound of the rifle. But at 600m the average person wouldn’t know what that noise is or be perceptible enough to know it’s a shot being fired.

It would also change the point of aim and without re-zeroing the rifle could hugely affect shot accuracy and fall of the round, especially if having to aim off half a target wide for wind speed and direction. Though it would reduce muzzle flash and recoil, it would also increase velocity of the round due to extending the barrel length so that’s a plus and a quicker way of dropping the target and delay the muzzle retort..

I need a quiet word with myself I know to much about these things
