Random Irritations

This really annoys me
Last time through Gatwick and they weren’t even shouting the same instructions to each queue for what to remove/stick in tray etc that day & naturally overlapping barks. Can’t remember what I got ‘wrong’ for my Q but the contemptable comment I got for my error was replied to in kind
Few years ago, the queue stalled near to the 'instruction giver' - "remove belts, computers in the tray, ipads in the tray"

So I ask them, "what about other kinds of tablet computer ?" ;)

They reply, "if we shout, put tablets in the tray, the oldies make a right ol' mess" !

Ah, okay then :)🤔:censored:

Last month was going through security at Gran Canaria airport.
There were no instructions about what to do with tablets, so left mine in my bag.
Got stopped and was asked "you have iPad in here?"
Took it out to show him. He put it in the tray outside the bag, said "another try" and sent me back.
Went through the scanner again and was stopped again.
He picked up the tablet and said "another try".
I looked bemused until he picked up a separate tray and put the tablet in there.
He had actually been saying "another tray" all along, but I got confused by the Spanish accent :ROFLMAO:

Talking about tablets in X-ray machines.

Me and Missis T did a Panama Canal cruise 2 years ago. Our last stop before disembarkation was Mexico, Puerto Vallarta on the pacific coast. We had been there a couple of years earlier, and noticed loads of pharmacies had striping up. Anyway when we got off the ship in LA. We did a small tour around LA before going to the airport. When we got to the airport security, we saw people from the ship and they had these big big clear plastic boxes. They were rammed with tablets and medication. Missis T could see one of these boxes was full of diabetes medication. When talking to a couple we got to know on the ship. They explained it was that expensive for there medication in the USA. It was cheaper to book a Panama Canal cruise, with flights from LA to east coast and buy there medication in Mexico. preordered and paid then collected, than to buy it in the USA. It/ the tablets had to go through XRay though. 😳

When me and Missis T went to the pictures tonight, I went to the fridge for me Choclate and some sod had eaten it. I was blaming the grandsproggs for taking it. Then I noticed a silly grin on Missis Ts face. She is a choccie knicker. 😡
Had to settle for a bar of galaxy mint.

That doesn't sound good ................................ imodium is her friend. ;)

Are we married to the same woman :ROFLMAO:

My wife often does the "look what i bought, I got 3 for 2 how good a bargain is that" When I ask did we even need 1 the answer i get is "that's not the point 3 for 2 is great value", she fails to see not even needing 1 but buying 3 means she spent 200% more than she would have if the offer wasn't on :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

My go to saying I've used over the years is:
Half price dug food is only a bargain if you have a dug!

This is a new one on me! Mrs M has requested I post her random irritation 🤣

She’s decided to decorate our bedroom and ordered new curtains from Dunelm! Her irritation is that she was given a time a lot of 8-9pm for delivery yesterday but waited up for it until 10pm but still no sign of the delivery, nothing arrived so she went to bed as she’s up at 5am for work.

She’s wakes up to an email from Evri stating the parcel was successfully delivered at 1:04am with a photo from the delivery man leaving it on our doorstep at that time 🤣

Below is the screenshot minus our address that I woke up to that she sent me excuse the Pumpkins still being out 🤣

I would be pleased that the delivery man kept going and delivered it. It's not like your Mrs was going to hang them in the room at 9 o'clock at night :)

I’m impressed he fought the urge to ring the bell and shout trick or treat at you 😂😂
Mate it wouldn’t affect me I’m 160 miles away and was tucked up cosily in bed. If he had done that he’d be facing down the wrath of my wife who when woken irritably even the devil wouldn’t dance with! She’s a fierce lady when tired 🤣

Companies that have "Free UK Mainland Delivery" emblazoned in bold letters on websites but want £50 deliver to my postcode which, the last I checked, was both in the UK AND on the mainland.

Not surprisingly they all seem to be SE England based companies that must still believe the UK ends at Carlisle and Berwick.

That always baffles me how free delivery on all orders is still charged. I have 2nd irritation today and relates to yours.

Ordered something online that was £40 delivery or free click and collect so went for that got the email last night stating my item had arrived collect anytime today from when the store opens. Got to the store it hasn’t arrived according to the manager the email is just guidance and could still be another 3 days before delivery can’t guarantee when only that I have to keep coming in to see if it’s arrived despite my email stating “it has arrived and is ready for collection” 😒

Try living in the Highlands 🤣🤣🤣

I'm irritated enough that I messaged them asking where they got their Geography lessons from and that they might want a refund if they paid for them...

Not sure if it’s a random irritation or something that’s amusing but do find it very disrespectful

During the Llandudno Rememberance Parade a guy in full blown Navy Uniform turned up and took part in the laying of wreath

It’s since been found out that the council had no idea about him and he is full blown Walter Mitty

Was dressed as a Rear Admiral, had loads of medals that normally presented to Army and RAF personnel an also a DSO 😂

Remembrance Day Parade on the box.

Hoped to see the Fleet Air Arms vets in the parade

This morning I found from one them why I did not see them

The Beeb cut to Sophie Rayworth just as they were about to come in to view and only returned to it just after they had gone past.

Pulled a muscle in my neck at the gym a few weeks ago, caused by lifting a dumbbell over my head when laid on a bench.

Have done that loads of times with no ill effects, not sure what was different that time.

Was at the gym yesterday, thought I’d give that exercise another go. Felt fine at the time, woke up at 4am with my neck hurting again 😩

Unfortunately, there are other examples elsewhere. 🤨
I once walked into a pub in West Wales and noticed a plaque behind the bar bearing the SAS emblem. I asked the landlord what the connection was.
He replied "I can't talk about it".
Yet he displayed it as a showpiece for all to see.
