Random Irritations

If you mean the airport, and not the resort, it's no different to any airport food and drink price. Hence my rant about Heathrow a few weeks back - £15.95 for a glass of wine. You know you're gonna get mugged.
Pay or don't pay.
Point well made airports are money makers we know it and either accept it don't eat and drink the world over. In Sept I paid £50 for 2 small breakfasts and 2 drinks at Gatwick ludicrous, but worse still last year at Oslo airport a standard cheese burger and a pint was £72 o_O can't wait to pay that again in a couple of weeks :ROFLMAO:

I know but whenever I am dropping off or picking up it seems to either be raining or pitch black and asking my wife or son to walk over to there seems a bit harsh . There really is no reason why it can not be free for 5-7 minutes, then charge heavily after that. A genuine drop off, pick up spot there is pretty reasonable imo. I suspect they make an absolute fortune from it though so they won't change it now 😢.
It's literally a 2-3 minute walk from the drop off point in SS2, you are too soft :D

The cost of parking there is obscene however. Over £100 is the norm for 7 days. It used to be ok when they were competing with the nearby offsite car parks but they have all gone, I suspect the airport bought them to close them down and remove any competition.

It’s your attitude that’s wrong.
Look at it that a burger and pint is good value at £72.00 and every time it’s cheaper your onto a winner.
My wife uses this tactic regular when shopping, the amount of times I think I have saved a tenner when I’ve actually spent £300 beggars belief 🤣🤣

£7 0-10 mins, £9 10-20 mins drop off at Bristol Airport and a non refundable £2 for the luxury of a trolley.

Are we married to the same woman :ROFLMAO:

My wife often does the "look what i bought, I got 3 for 2 how good a bargain is that" When I ask did we even need 1 the answer i get is "that's not the point 3 for 2 is great value", she fails to see not even needing 1 but buying 3 means she spent 200% more than she would have if the offer wasn't on :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

yes the airport and these prices were way higher for low end food than i have paid at other airports and never seen a 600ml bottle of local lager for £13!. I can pay and indeed did last night, £15 for a large Malbec in Wokingham - it is £10+ for any large glass down here.

Yeah I get that to.
She has pretty much bought all the Xmas presents for everyone so don’t need to buy anymore. (apparently).
I think it’s cost about 5 grand she thinks we have saved £800. 😂😂

This confirms to me our wives must be related :ROFLMAO:
Mines done the same she's sorted Christmas already no more presents to buy, except that she's planned a pre Christmas trip to London under the premise to see the lights at Oxford St. I'm fully aware that's code for whilst we're there she may as well get some last minute bits despite what's already been spent and being completely done. Who am I to argue she's happy :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Don't forget it's the little savings too. Like adding £25 worth of tat to an online order to achieve free delivery and save 4 quid.

My Mrs has done the same just swap London for Bournemouth.
Just so happens we are not going until the Xmas market is there!
I just go along with it and will enjoy the couple of days away.
If she is happy my life is easier so I’m happy.
I gave up trying to understand long ago and gave up trying to disagree before then.
Merry Christmas mate 😂😂

This 100%.
My Mrs got a £50 M&S voucher last year.
I reckon we visited our nearest one at least 5 times before she spent it.
I tried to explain we had probably spent £80 in fuel and parking 😂😂
