Random Irritations

I might actually be in the wrong here but it’s a random irritation for me.

I was asked by a charity who I won’t name if we could do some work for them and how much we would charge them.

I agreed to do it for nothing and yesterday was the agreed day.

When it came to doing the job what they had asked for and what they actually wanted were 2 entirely different things.

If they had been truthful to start with I would have still done it for nothing but part of me now wants to charge them for the extra (at cost).

I know I should just let it go but it’s really annoyed me and my irritation is instead of feeling joyous I have helped someone less fortunate I now feel I have been taken advantage of, I know that’s selfish but it’s how it’s left me feeling.

Pulled a muscle in my neck at the gym a few weeks ago, caused by lifting a dumbbell over my head when laid on a bench.

Have done that loads of times with no ill effects, not sure what was different that time.

Was at the gym yesterday, thought I’d give that exercise another go. Felt fine at the time, woke up at 4am with my neck hurting again

Maybe stop doing that?

Hmm I have a beard and not a mullet so I must be cool! Yet I have no care in the world as to what way round the bog roll goes on the holder as it’s an insignificant thing in life. So am I still cool or a sociopath this is confusing

It’s a subversive marketing ploy. Its well known that sheet usage is inadvertently increased by the users with the roll hanging front to back as in that pic

If in doubt ask yourself this… which way would AI tell you to hang it… then do the opposite !

There are lots of insignificant things that bother people, there doesn't have to be logic to it. In this case, it makes sense to come from over the top but I don't go around tasering people who do it the other, wrong , way. I save my taser for other issues

I personally agree that loo roll should hang down at the front. No idea why, it just seems correct to me.

But there is one good reason why it should be the other way round, for anyone with a pet...
If a cat or dog decides to play with the loo roll and starts pawing at it, front-hung loo roll unravels, rear-hung doesn't.

Exactly, it’s easier to grab one handed when it’s over the top rather than trying to clutch it from the wall with potentially “clarty” fingers.
