In this day and age it's really easy to become a rough sleeper. Having a phone isn't here or there. Get it when they have a home. Lose it, simple PAYG SIM , charge for free at some places whilst grabbing a coffee from that money they busk for.

Judging those for having a smart phone when homeless is ignorant of the issues faced with the cost of housing

I watched a QI ( I think it was QI) this week when one of the panel asked the audience to put up their hand if they had written anything this week using a semi colon.

Surprisingly, over half did so.

I think it was Have I Got News For You. I haven't seen QI for a while and I remember the question being asked somewhere. Not only would I not have put my hand up, I realised that I don't think I have ever used one

Good job came home from holiday early

I've never in the decade we lived here seen the drains that blocked. Infact the second man hole has NEVER been blocked

Lovely 30 mins attempting to unblock the drains with the rods .. not going down

No idea what the neighbours been up to to make it that bad in a week

Now the awkward bit of getting next door to pay half the bill considering it's litterally their mess

Spent the day at Derriford hospital after mother-in-law had a suspected stroke.

Most of the time was sitting in the ambulance waiting for the hospital to find somewhere for her. The ambulance crew were magnificent. But what gets me is that they spend most of their time baby sitting patients in their rigs waiting to be admitted. The crew who brought my MIL in picked up a total of TWO people in a 12 hour shift. There was an entire fleet of ambulances (must have been 20 or more) in the car park doing the same thing. This is why there's no ambulances available.

It was a real eye-opener, never appreciated just how desperate things are at the NHS coalface.

Never heard of him and I find it ironic that I only know about him because someone on here was irritated by him and therefore increased his profile by publishing his existence. I suspect others on here will have been in the same boat.

@cliveb . Did your MiL get the usual treatment for stroke (the clot buster) in time to help her?
