Random Irritations

Sold something on ebay.

Buyer asked what courier I'd be using.

Referred him to the auction listing where it clearly stated Parcel Force

I've woken this morning to an email telling me all the alternative couriers I could use and the likely costs and that when he sells clubs he prefers to use DPD!!

Have they paid?

Or you wouldn't have been rammed if not for the cheap price so less people , less money in the bar.. or not even open

Sounds like it was handled spot on
Bit late, but er .. no. It's the element of disorganisation. Who has the bar shut on a bank holiday??? Also, pro forgets to change the price, which means a huge increase in pay and play, hurrah, but the bars shut! No lessons will be learnt. I'll have my last remark as my irritation.

DVLA excellent work! Changed my car last week. Good online processes, all the documents turned around within a working week.

Irritation?? Refund of road tax sent as a cheque. My banking app doesn't do cheques, I'm 25 miles from a Branch, so have to post it🤣🤣
Given the ever decreasing number of local branches, I would have thought that a cheque deposit function is a basic necessity of any decent banking App. The NatWest one has had it for at least 4 or 5 years now, so it’s not new technology.

My old Barclays business account had it, Nationwide doesn't.

I suspect they are "sitting it out" as the number of cheques in circulation has fallen off a cliff! 😆 Ironically, one of the last things I did before I left Nationwide was a Board Paper on the demise of cheques. That was 2007😁😁

Getting to the end of our house renovations. Had the ground floor bathroom ripped out early last week and we needed to move the stop valve. When we moved in last summer we had a water meter put in on the pavement. Turns out it doesn't work. It has a pull lever....so if you need to stop water going to the house you pull up on it.....doesn't stop the water. Called Yorkshire water immediately and.....they refuse to fix it. Stated that I can pay the sub contractor who put it in to come repair it. Grrrrr.

Pretty sure you can pay a cheque into your bank account at the post office.

You can't pay into a Nationwide account at the PO.

This is the exact reason to have more than one bank account. It doesn't take 20 mins to set up a new account with a bank that has the access to digital pay ins etc then just pay cheques into that and transfer over

Immunotherapy day today, blood results came back all okay, but the CA-125 marker has doubled. Both of us are struggling with it.
She had a scan 6 weeks ago, nothing new, no noticeable growth.
Just need to understand it better, I know she is in the system and they are watching. But she is only 4 months beyond the chemotherapy, which was effective. Which may mean it won’t be as effective if repeated.
I am sure this is not bad bad news, but it doesn’t feel great ☹️. Ignorance isn’t bliss in this case .. we both deal with stuff, we don’t put it on a back burner or kick the can down the road
