Random Irritations

Adidas. What the heck. First the ridiculous GB trackies and now the quite bizarre outfit Linn Grant is wearing. They must be taking the mick and having a chuckle surely...

Clothing sizes for women. Ordered a load of stuff and it's either too small or next size is too big. Retailers around here are crap for women's golf stuff so ordering online only choice. Thank goodness for free delivery and returns.

Yeah I think it's quite likely that it needs a signature, since I had no option to leave in a 'safe place' or with a neighbour.

Well UPS were happy to leave my £400 driver from Callaway pre-owned in my porch... 4 hrs after they said they'd arrive and, more pertinently, about 20 mins after we'd left the house for the weekend!

The company I work for has been sold, we’re supposedly merging with another and the new owners are starting to look at what we do, which means the inept are panicking and in full mud-flinging mode, which in turn means everyone’s got to waste time proving they are talking nonsense. The only bright side is some of these clowns might be found out, finally.

I am an ex-landlord. It's ridiculous you can buy 10 cans for £10 or one pint for £5 now. It's not rocket science, it's a no-brainer: reverse the situation. Make supermarket beer more expensive than pub beer, then people will start to go out and mix again rather than getting drunk at home.

Reading rubbish like this boils my tiddle.
That was a quote by someone on Sky app.
My grief is if supermarket beer can be so cheap. Why is pub beer so dear. There are many reasons and tax being one of them but does this plank seriously think that by making supermarket beer expensive we will all go to an expensive pub. It just ain’t gonna happen. And don’t get me started on the cost of alcohol free beer and soft drinks in pubs.

also, certain pubs, as well as 'Spoons, seem to be able to sell it massively cheaper than other pubs. If they can do it why can't the others?

The others splash out cash to have people wiping the tables, mopping the floors, cleaning the toilets, etc.
Certain pubs, including 'Spoons, don't seem to to be so bothered.

Spoons buy beer that's getting close to it's 'Best Before' date, then they are able to sell it cheaply.
A very good business model.
