Random Irritations

Au contraire mon capitaine... Think about how Scotland is run... Now, condense that in to a microcosm like Fife!
id still say compared to HC they would be a breeze, its been ind for the last 20 years, and most of the councilors change every time they have an election after all being proven corrupt and incompetent

So me and the missus were watching a psycho drama on the TV last night...saw the first two episodes

I've just gone to lay the table for dinner and notice that the telly is paused on the same drama about to start episode 4!!!

Being charged a £3 cancellation fee on a £5.95 train ticket that was booked in error and cancelled immediately.

I feel your pain. We bought 2 first class tickets from a ticket machine @ Piccadilly station, going from Manchester to Scunthorpe early Dec. It was a nightmare journey, even being asked to leave the train early and board the following train allowing the first train to make up time. Arrived around 2hrs late. Logged on to reclaim the full fare, £120, as per their T&C’s only to be told I’d logged onto the wrong provider. Logged into the provider they indicated in their email, and waited and waited.

Received notification that I’d logged into the wrong provider, again. Logged into a 3rd provider only to be told I was outside the 30 day limit for refunds.

I still have a builders trowel somewhere in the garage, that a builder left behind after building a wall in my garden.
Not as bad as my neighbour. He was having problems with his drains after having builders in. Dynorod fished out a 15 inch long heavy duty screwdriver from the drain.

Jake Paul...

"My sights are set on becoming a world champion, and now I have a chance to prove myself against the greatest heavyweight champion of the world, the baddest man on the planet and the most dangerous boxer of all time. Time to put Iron Mike to sleep."

If you think beating up a 60 year old bloke is proving yourself....

I just wish no one showed any interest & then he’d disappear.
Either that or throw him in the ring with Canelo.

Sky, specifically Sky Mobile. Had a bill last month for a £96 call to Tunisia on my dad's sim that is on my account.

My dad was in hospital at the time and vaguely remembers a strange number calling him and he must have accidentally hit the call back on his phone (I know how easy it is on an iPhone to accidentally press the screen on the number). The time of the call, an hour in duration, would have run past lights out in the ward if he'd been on the phone.

Explained all this to Sky, their response to an 80 year old that was in hospital... "Tough, you made the call!". No leeway, no discussion. I've had to pay the bill as my dad can't afford that.

So I've just cancelled all of our services with them. Mobiles (x3), TV contract (x2) and insurances. Someone had the cheek to call me within an hour of cancelling to ask why I was cancelling. They've lost an account that I've had with them since 1997 when I started working for them. Absolute scum for taking that stance with any elderly person, regardless of it being my dad.

That's unbelievable! You'd think that they would offer a gesture of goodwill.
Their loss though!
