Yes we do check them, and no they are not useless.I've just had to fill in yet another tick box questionnaire at work. Does your company have an Anti Slavery policy, Child Labour policy etc? Utterly pointless, does anyone ever check them? Has anyone had a visit from a customer to check whether you are shoving 12yr olds up chimneys? I understand the sentiment but blimey they are worthless.
Surely all of the replies are the same though. No one is going to be pro slavery after all.Yes we do check them, and no they are not useless.

What baffles me is how long it took for his representatives, or those helping him with his assertion of innocence, to get the physical material found at the scene, DNA checked against his DNA?

I don't dispute it happens. I do dispute that companies will hold their hands up to it. Ticking a box on a questionnaire, emailing a generic policy in, meaningless. Unless you are going in to every company, fully investigating including speaking to each employee, you aren't going to get to the bottom of things. What happens now is tick box, nothing more.![]()

My eyes have been watering all day yesterday, then I get home and got told my little girl had the same issue! I guess it's some form of hayfever that just happens at this time year. Took a Claritin this morning though and that hasn't really helped. Left eye still watering and I haven't even been outside yet.
