The odd thing is, I am narked that the big screen on my CX5, when it comes to music stations, it don’t show the group or song name. I spent a couple of minutes touching the screen. It’s not touch screen.A friend of mine has an XC40, he has just changed an older one for a newer one. Lovely car, not too big but feels solid on a motorway. A very nice place to do miles.
The only criticism is that it is largely devoid of buttons and so everything goes through the touchscreen centre console. Make sure that you are okay with this.
I can't speak for the Kia but if you choose the Volvo, you will have chosen well and you will not have to worry yourself about it.
You might need to tick a box somewhere. Equally, some car mfrs don't have this option as they think it can be a distraction for the driver. Personally, I find it more distracting trying to work out who sang a particular song that I recognise but can't quite put my finger onThe odd thing is, I am narked that the big screen on my CX5, when it comes to music stations, it don’t show the group or song name. Yes it has a touch screen, but that is only active when stationary. It has a touch screen
Is that when the phone is coupled via Apple play![]()
I went up to Doncaster a month ago and used the Apple sat nav. It was rammel following the instructions. Suffice to say I got lost.Yes it has a touch screen, but that is only active when stationary.
You use the jog wheel for inscreen options and functions.
I dont use Carplay/Android auto as I prefer to keep the phone free and use the radio system as it's made.![]()

One thing I have found with the fitted sat nav. In the Seat Leon, when you adjusted in or out it gave you an idea of distance. And it stayed that way til you adjusted it. On the Mazda, you adjust the screen to what you want and after a while it reverts back. Why?I use the car fitted sat nav all the time.
If I remember right, you can adjust the distance view. One thing I have found with the fitted sat nav. In the Seat Leon, when you adjusted in or out it gave you an idea of distance. Count yourself lucky. Stayed in a lovely B&B in Ryde and were woken about 5.00am with all the seagulls on the roof making a right racket. Decided I couldn't move that close to the coast and suffer that every dayWe got the keys to the new house yesterday and moved 99% of our stuff in. Fabulous, uninterrupted view over the golf course, bowls club and out to sea.
5.45am... chug, chug, chug of the local fishing fleet!
Are you going to be that person? The one who gets the church bells turned off despite them ringing for the past 400 yrsWe got the keys to the new house yesterday and moved 99% of our stuff in. Fabulous, uninterrupted view over the golf course, bowls club and out to sea.

Wait until they chug back in mid afternoon and ruin his siestaAre you going to be that person? The one who gets the church bells turned off despite them ringing for the past 400 yrs. In your case, it's the fishing fleet. Sorry lads, you can't go out until 9.00am

Buy a house next to a golf course...............Or writes to the complaints department about train noises..we been here 100 years. You knew before you moved in

In Hobbits defence, that is something you wont necessarily know until you live there. The church bells, the trainline, golf course etc. all very avoidable. Hopefully it becomes white noise after a while.
