Random Irritations

It's that time of year when overpaid luvvies and millionaire 'celebs' start begging us for money
You could be called a cynic but.... Ive just had to sit through it courtesy of Mrs Rixon.
8 "passionate and sincere" Slebs looking ludicrous in terms of dress, hair dye, bleached teeth, tans and ego.
The Oasis sketch was primary school standard.🙄

Ours went to non-uniform or dress up for World Book day and non-uniform today too, with no donation necessary. The new head teacher has also started making moves to bring the cost of uniform down, especially the PE kit. It's £60 for the compulsory hoodie.
Is that a private school?

You should ask them for the menu of services they provide and then tell them the ones you don't use and can they be deducted from your bill.
£275 for me plus £45 for garden waste.

Great service on the garden waste, every 2 weeks. Unlike the general waste, that is now every 3 weeks. 🤬

In South Gloucestershire we pay £60 for collection of green bin every two weeks, general waste every two weeks, recycling weekly and we have just moved to having to book trips to the tip. They are just making all the previously free car parks charging ones, another kick in the teeth for local high streets.
Every council needs money (predominantly I understand for social care) so they will no doubt all be gradually looking for these extra ways to get revenue.

Have you noticed an increase in fly tipping?

No, I was trying to highlight how rubbish the household waste collection is. Our bin is full in 3 weeks for two of us, must be a nightmare for big families.
Sorry misunderstood your post.
I don’t have any garden waste & our general waste is emptied every 2 week.
Sounds like it’ll be 3 week soon tho, going on the posts on here.

Cost of waste disposal has shot up here since Covid. We’re now paying €48 every 3 months. We have to take our rubbish to communal bins - we’re dropping a bag in every day-ish, but definitely every day in the hot weather. The communal bin, less than 400m away or it’s free, is emptied every night.
