Pharmacists (and/or their assistants). I'm sure their training of 3-4 years is nothing more than 'Advanced Staring At Things'. 6 of them in there today. 2 permanently staring at a computer screen, 3 staring at shelves, and 1 who periodically disappeared into a cupboard.
This 100%

The Lloyds at the Royal Free Hospital is a nightmare. If the Dr prescribes drugs (which he does electronically) you have to queue up at window 1 to give your name and DOB, this takes about 5 minutes. Then they normally say waiting time is about 45-50 minutes. They give you a number and when the big tv thing shows yours is ready you have to go to queue at window 2. This queue is the absolute slowest and can take 15-20 minutes.
Absolute killer after a long day.☹️

Renewed my driving license... Brilliant service, got a new one within 48 hours.

What do i do with the old one? It says, cut it into half and send it to DVLA.. why? What will they do? what will they do if I dont? Seems a bit of waste of postal time and Carbon

They’ll probably cut it in half and return the two bits to you!

Smart motorways

What’s so 🤬 smart about them when the gantry suddenly shows the 50 mph sign and people panic and react slamming brakes causing three accidents from cars hitting each other

Not very smart

Oh my God. Don’t get me started. It’ll run for longer than the LIV thread.

All I will say is that, when they were due to be rolled out, I was very active in the police collision investigation community and as a consequence had good contacts across the country, in both roads policing and forensic collision investigation. In other words, the experts in mopping up after fatal and serious collisions on motorways, and the experts involved in investigating the causes of those collisions.

You would have thought that some of those experts would have been involved in the consultation stage, wouldn’t you? But no. I do not know of a single police expert who was ever consulted or given the opportunity to give their opinion regarding the safety or viability of all lane running on our motorways. Not one.

But I’m not naive. That is probably because I have never met or spoken to such an expert who thinks Smart motorways are anything other than bonkers. And the powers that be had made their decision. Smart motorways were coming no matter what, and they didn’t want any common sense to get in the way.

It’s no coincidence that miles of cones now line our motorways whilst extra emergency refuges are installed. The decision makers have obviously realised they made a monumental cock up, and are now taking steps to try and improve safety. The best way to do that would simply be to paint a solid line between the current lanes 1 & 2 and reintroduce hard shoulders.

With Evri/Yodel used via Ebay Packlink their box size limit is 120, which happens to be the exact length of your standard golf club box.
Not a box for a driver.

If your tape measure says other wise get a new one.

Drivers normally measure 48". 48" = 1220mm. Then allow for packaging and cardboard thickness

Where I take my boxes for Evri they have a measure taped to the wall and check parcel length before accepting it.

Yep. DPD.
Just got a message to tell me that my new espresso machine has been delivered and signed for by me. There's a helpful photo of a large Sage-Breville box on my doorstep, outside an empty house, clearly visible to anyone walking or driving past 5 yards away. I'm 30 miles away.

48 inch is the max allowed for a driver, most are shorter than that.

Been hit by a K tax code and it goes into effect immediatly... luckily the website now gives you a breakdown and comparison on prev and new tax codes... and why
  • you now get Professional subscriptions worth £xx
  • your Gift Aid Payments has been reduced from £xx to £yy
  • your Job expenses has been increased from £xx to £xx
  • you now get Taxed interest on savings and investment worth £xx
  • your Estimated tax you owe this year has been increased from £x to £xx
most of these are marginal changes.. the big change is increase in estimated tax. The SA period covers my one-off bonus, so looks like they are now clawing back via a K tax code.
Come and live in Scotland and get reemed for tax. Someone on £50k pays £1500 more taxes in tax.

However a standard driver box allows for maximum length. So needs to be cut down to achieve the 1200 mm max length if the driver is shorter.

DPD Local as well as Evri use a maximum length which is less than a standard driver box length.

Not when you bought second hand and didn’t get one. I’ve sold in the past like that.

I'd sell it apart, if someone doesn't have a wrench when they pop down to their golf club or the range you can bet the pro can solve the issue in 30 seconds

Tonight I should have been in bath for dinner with my mate , however we both agreed with my house being sick (majority better. Better enough for me to still go) it's best we postpone until the new year because I don't want to give her family the lergy incase I'm a carrier.

Sucks though was looking forward to an evening out
I misread this at first and my mind boggled.
