Mrs had us buying a pair of Venetian blinds for windows of a bedroom…but it’s not the blinds that have irritated me…it’s the video on the retailers website that had a pretty young lass showing us how to cut them to size. Easy-peasy says my Mrs…that lass was able to do it dead easy…so get on with it.

But she didn’t get my prevarication…not that I didn’t want to do the measuring, cutting and fitting…no…I just knew it wasn’t going to be as easy as the lass in the video implied by her demonstration, especially as I currently don’t have a work bench to clamp or jam anything against.

And so it came to pass…got one cut and fitted this afternoon. Oh what a faff and pickle. Just as well my Mrs hasn’t been in to hear the 🤬.

I feel your pain, we did (by we I mean me) in the previous house. When we renovated the current house she wanted blinds in all rooms.

I bloody Love google.

Google taking charge of my new (to me) phone without asking.

I did not want all the info from my other phone to be transferred to it via my google account.

People (most likely the press) who think they have the right to disclose information about peoples health that they want to keep private

Assuming this is about Chris Hoy, I totally agree. I don’t know what age his children are, but when I was diagnosed I didn’t want mine to know I was having cancer treatment. They were both in the middle of exams and job applications and I did not want them worrying about something I could do nothing about.

Chris Hoy has quite clearly had his hand forced, and I really feel for him.

Hypocritical discourse in matters concerning professional golf and its relationship to increasing demands on the utilisation of ignorance.

Sorry, it was almost as you were typing with a super heavy Scot’s accent. (Think Alex Ferguson and Jimmy combined)

Can I have an interpreter? 😬

It’s the working title of a paper I have in mind, in which I’m experimenting with the ignore feature and finding that there remains no place to observe or engage in professional golf discussion.

When complete I’ll try submitting it to Flounce Magazine.

My dog flatly refusing to walk a certain route home after a long walk. Just sits on his backside, tail between his legs refusing to budge. No bad connotations with said route. It was a Mexican standoff for a while but I had to relent due to a combination of a woman coming out of her house to check he was ok plus I needed to pick my daughter up from gymnastics. As soon as we went ‘his’ route he was bounding along like a playful puppy. Div.

It's a brilliant thing.
It's like being able to 'mute' the club bore at the bar :)
I discovered this function yesterday. Got 1 person on it already, pretty sure more will follow. As I'm replying to you Bob you can rest easy it's not you ;)
