On the subject of delivery drivers, the Asda driver who parks across or sometimes on my drive to deliver up the footpath in front of my house and will refuse to move until he has done all of his deliveries.

Tesco driver did this to my mate when delivering to the houses across the road. My mate asked him politely to move it, the guy got really arsey about it so, not having to go anywhere as he was working from home, my mate let the air out of his front tyres while he was in the house across the road. Then shouted "good luck with the rest of your deliveries" from his front door when the driver came back.

Never happened again after that.

Went for a hearing test back in August and was told I would need hearing aids and there was a 3-4 month wait for the fitting. I called today to progress and was told the current waiting list is 8-9 months so April/May at the earliest. I won't hold my breath.

“I’m still waiting on x,y,z from you" - well you’ve never asked for it, so how am I going to provide it?
”Can we meet to understand what these fields mean?” - you’ve had the data for 3wks, why are you only asking now?

In the very busy car park in town the other day and an older lady was parked across two spaces and in her car looking at her phone. I managed to find another space after a short wait and decided to knock on her window and tell her she was across two spaces (since she may have genuinely not been aware) she looked at me, shrugged and mouthed "so what?" Before going back to look at her phone.

Absolute fin de cloche.

Pointless red tape!

I am ending a contract in Mar, on a Friday and starting with the same company, same job on the following Monday. I asked if I could keep the laptop but was told it was a security risk as I wouldn't be employed over the weekend. This means I have to fill out a form to arrange it's return, 50 mile round trip to return it on the Friday, taking up 1 person's time to process the return. On the Monday I will be on site for induction anyway and will then need to take up another person's time to issue me another laptop. When I get the new laptop, I will need to apply for 2 lots of software to be downloaded, more wasted manhours. And they say they are trying to cut pointless red tape

I'd be sending a politely worded email to the heads of IT, IT Security and HR saying, "do you really want me to do this?"

London today for Cirque Du Soleil, potential to be a PITA with the industrial action but turned out to be easy! Drove to Reading and jumped straight on a train, then Elizabeth line home.

My Daughter and her friends from gymnastics loved the show!
