Very much the right decision to extend, I don't see how they thought they could cope with everyone logging on Monday to pay by Tuesday

But end of August seems a much more reasonable target , well 15th for non account holders

Finally found the information that account holders don't need to do anything they will be charged as normal, had to resort to twitter

I'll expect a fine by Xmas ofc

I had read the email, but hadnt bothered doing it. I never said I had done it did I, only that the email came out ages ago.

Been subjected to these outrageous prices for the last 10 days while it’s been 32 degrees and above for the whole trip!!!! I can’t believe how much we have drunk for so little!

When it’s this hot I tend to drink more soft drinks & water. A few beers are nice but needing to drink lots of fluid doesn’t lend itself well to a skin full.

A coke in a bar is around €1.50. Supermarket price is around €0.50. I have seen it for €0.40 but also for €0.65.

Our council passing a decision to charge households £56 a year to collect green waste. Sure it's only fifty quid but what if you've no garden you've no green waste so you're in the clear but we pay more...... So should have it collected. Plus they gave us all darleks to compost which must have cost a bomb, then green bins to take it away. Just how much more money can they waste.

Starting the work to build a new fence along the side of the house only to find that they have run a gas line right along the boundary line and it’s not even 500mm down .

That gives me a major headache as it’s bang in the middle of the post holes all the way down the 15m stretch.

Lane hoggers on the motorway. People who insist on sitting in Lane 2 of 3 lane motorways, and lane 3 of 4 lane motorways!
Whatever happened to the crackdown on these drivers? If you undertake you're in the wrong, so I have to pull out from Lane 1 to Lane 4, overtake them and then pull back in. You flash them as you overtake but they still carry on regardless. I doubt they ever even bother to look in their mirrors.

There will be no crackdown I’m afraid as the majority of police forces no longer routinely police their motorways. But I absolutely agree with you - they are insufferable.

That said, the driving on US Interstates takes appalling driving to a whole new level. The speed limit is routinely ignored, lorries thunder along at 80mph, and weaving across lanes is commonplace. It’s a genuine free for all, despite regular sightings of State Troopers patrolling.
