Trying to get the twins swimming lessons but at same time get the eldest to move to a similar time slot.

Where we go now full and don't do waiting lists

Private pools waiting lists and a fair whack to get them in..

I miss the old days where it me and my sister were shoved in lessons and just moved up stages when ready without affecting days or times we went
 
Stood on the train at 8:15am and the feller next to me just opened a can of Fosters! So now I have to smell that for the next fifteen minutes. At least have a classier beer for your morning commute. 🫤
 
I've gone on the Dart charge government site and it's absolutely useless. I can't check for crossings that have been logged to my registration. When I tried to pay it said I was only paying for future crossings so that was no good. It seems I can't pay for a missed crossing now until I receive a penalty charge notice?? And every page has a 45 minute wait on it now because of 'high demand'. I'm currently waiting in such a queue just for the contact page so I can ask them!

This is honestly one of the worst payments systems I've ever seen. Why can't you just punch your reg in, it tells you how many crossings have been attributed to that car, and then you pay for them? No that would be far too simple. Let's make it an absolute nightmare for people, so that they're much more likely to miss payments and then we can fine them. Great money making scheme. Tossers.

Who would have thought taking the site down for 3 days then ask everyone to pay by today (with 155000 journeys per day) would be such a disaster

I finally got through to their 'contact us' form to ask what I should do at 5:20pm yesterday. Auto-reply says they'll get back to me within 24 hours. Only 2 more hours to go...
 
At least have the side’s runs and wickets on the same side of the screen.

It was the same last year. I tuned in, couldn't be bothered to figure out what the hell the graphics were trying to tell me so tuned out quickly. Caught a little bit today but maybe I'm a traditionalist at heart and it's just too outlandish!

I watched less than 3 minutes of it this morning. Graphics = awful. Commentary = awful.
 
I’m paying €3.70 for a pinta, and €2.00 for a glass of wine, Spanish measure. Paid a shocking £2.00 for a bottle of wine in the supermarket, up from €1.85.
Been subjected to these outrageous prices for the last 10 days while it’s been 32 degrees and above for the whole trip!!!! I can’t believe how much we have drunk for so little!

It’s not greed though is it. They’re just changing provider for payments and there are bound to be issues when switching over because it’s so massive an undertaking.

I’m sure they will assess the issues and defer the payment dates to ensure people are not unfairly punished.

Once you’re all set up I’m sure it will be back to “normal” for everyone.

I have just added my card to the system and it takes payment as and when I use the crossing. Don’t even have to think about it.

Did you manage to get on? I added my card again Sunday. I have an account with credit on already so I just want them to use that

But the reason is greed nobody can deny is that bridge was built with the promise of when paid for the toll would be removed

It then was sold off, and the toll booths removed which saved paying people wages and now it's £2.50 instead of £1..

So yes it's pure greed

If they had kept it £1 it would be less of a kick in the teeth considering the thing is paid for more than once over now

To add to this I've been on, there is no record of my crossing over the weekend..I've tried paying without an account it just gives me the option to buy future credits not pay for past trips (as told to do by today)

And my accounts not been charged for the weekends trips

So I dunno if to top it up by £5 or leave it and hope it takes £5 out of my account

At least the time frame now is more reasonable than today gives it time to actually see what's happened
