Unbelievable finish from Anthony Kim in Australia, hell of a final round and an absolute glimpse of the superb player he was back on the PGAT in the mid to late 2000s.

Superb comeback story, he’s been so humble with his return and what a way to win in style. You can’t help but smile and feel happy for him.

I really don’t want to take anything away from Kim, this is very impressive, the 4 rounds making it even more so.

But history being created feels a bit strong.

Wonder which major he will get an invite to.
Fair point, guess history thing is subjective. That said, just focusing on recent times he lost his card, gained it back via qualifying, then won from the final group where, as you mentioned, he was expected to be the 'other player ' watching the 'big names'. Fairly notable.

The Opens have pathways so guess it is down to Masters or US PGA.
Probably PGA favourite but a while away so would need to maintain form.
Masters would be a good story line with the birdie record thing, but the committee have in past seemingly liked to tie invites to some non liv play, so probably won't happen.

Can only applaud some being out of the game for so long to come back and do well

Was always a highly talented player until it all went wrong in different ways

Was given a chance and took it

But not sure what history has been created but guess we are going to see some overreaction

Can’t see Augusta inviting him - they try and avoid skeletons in closets

There will be events for Open qualifying

Didn’t PGA have a spot for LIV rankings

Thought they were still using category 13

History being created? Do me a favour. In the same sense I’m about to go and create history by shooting 80-90 in our medal today, maybe.

Well outside of the AK story it was also the largest attendance at a golf event in Australian history, but yeah, you hacking round with double bogeys all over the card is just the same..... :ROFLMAO: 🤝

What is extreme about what I said?

What “history was made”

A talented golfer comes back and wins

It’s not the first time it’s happened

As with the “one of the Greatest events in golf” - there is no need to go over the top as if looking for some justification

It’s a great win in the event that is a success on LIV - just enjoy that instead of silly hyperboles
