Patrick Reed

I’m struggling to find your point ?

Because some people take drugs we should not take it as seriously ?

There is no proof that Reed has cheated , none at all , but you have him guilty , until you can proof or provide some sort of proof that Reed cheated it’s nothing but speculation
Why was he thrown out of a college and suspended for competitions?

I've said it before and will again - Patrick Reed is a perfect gentleman.

Just him and his caddy on a practice round at the London Club and me alone on the hole watching, found his ball 50 yards from the pin in quite deep cack, he thanked me, called me sir and proceeded to chip it, one bounce and in the cup.

Gentleman 😉😉 Pat - I've never been called Sir by any of you miserable gits on here 🤔
I’d take the view of a fella whose actually met him, rather than some idle locker room gossip 👍

Why was he thrown out of a college and suspended for competitions?

Well he was dismissed from the team due to alcohol issues and just not getting on with his teammates was it not - that exactly what Reed said and he coach said it was nothing to do with cheating or stealing

Let’s just for one minute accept he did the things you say, maybe it was immaturity, maybe he had personal issues, maybe he was a scumbag.
Is there not the possibility he’s moved on and reformed.
Tiger and DJ misbehaved as adults were the knock effects were huge to those around them.
Judgeing any of them by their issues against 5hrs on a Golf Course is wrong in all cases.
All 3 do tremendous work for charities and raise millions for those charities.
Maybe just maybe they should all be judged on facts rather than gossip or we admire them all as top class golfers and ignore their off course life.

The ET bestow this Membership on members of the Tour who, in the opinion of the ET have significantly contributed to the success of the Tour or have won a Major title while being a member.
That is it.
Whether they're a wife- beating, coke-sniffing dog handler or the finest upstanding citizen on the planet is pretty irrelevant.
People don't have to like him - it's not up to them to give this honour.....
There must be someone in the world, somewhere, that doesn't like Frankie, Henrik or Luke....does that mean they shouldn't be given the honour.?
Don't hear the same noises about Vijay being an Honourary Member....

Not the real story, you would not be suspended from golf tournaments by a golf body for drinking

Yes you can if it’s college and it’s part of the honour code

How can you know the real story ?

There has been not one single issue of the such as a pro or when he went to a new college - so it’s possible certain people were lying to sour his name

Maybe Sergio has now ruled himself out of Life Membership.

After all it's an on course offence rather than lifestyle which seems to be the decisive factor for some on here.

Someone said I was a poor judge of character........... I had just told him that I liked you 😣
Love you really 💗 you’re a figure that commands respect, I’m only disappointed that he didn’t use your full title 🤣

In the US yes you would l, same way DJ was suspended from the tour for recreational drug use.

But again you don't let facts stand in your way do you.

Nothing Reed is alleged to have done is proven, everything the others have done is and been rehabbed for but despite having no wya of knowing the real story you claim you do but can't elaborate to say what that is...

Really? He WAS banned from competing while at college for moving his ball in the rough. It's a story that's been co-oberated, and is very clearly explained in Slaying the Tiger. Have you read it?

Your source is unproven, merely another allegation.

That actually hasn’t been proved - or confirmed by any of the governing bodies and his coach even stated he was unaware of any cheating etc and it nothing to do with him leaving the squad.

The story was Reed found a ball in the rough closer to the fairway , thought was his and went to play it , his teammates who he wasn’t getting on well with at all thought he knew it wasn’t his , but he didn’t move a ball in the rough.

But this is why the coach said he was removed from the squad

“In addition, the arrest for intoxication—when Reed was found drunk at 2:30 a.m. on campus—was only the first of two alcohol violations. The second came hot on the heels of the first, during the week of a Georgia football game. That day, Reed and a friend had loaded up on alcohol before leaving for the game. (To Bill and Jeannette, the drinking was a new side of Reed—he had never had much of a social life at all in high school, and though he had the odd girlfriend here and there, drinking was never part of his agenda. Their theory today is that Patrick was trying to fit in on a college campus where he felt desperately alone.) Later that night, near Atlanta, he was arrested again on a second alcohol charge.”

To be fair mate he probably thought you’d escaped from the old people’s home and felt sorry for you
