Is it why pros always get a rules official there to agree things were done correctly then there is no comeback.
Because the Referee agreed at the time that he could see the ball in the tree. How can they not penalize Reed when TV footage has been used to penalize other golfers for infringements after the event?

That tree is gonna get shaken. ? personally I would like someone to get up that tree and extract some balls, tie up a few loose ends so to speak ?The real question is how long would each of us take and how much blood would we spill trying to extract all of those balls? Seeing so many in there, no way am I walking past without a pretty decent effort.
No, no matter what we thought we heard, the officials statement after the round stated that the referee positively identified the ball. The ball that reed said he thought was his until the referee said he had to be certain and so Reed changed his mind
Between the two of us, leg up etc, we might get a years worth of decent balls in those trees ?That tree is gonna get shaken. ? personally I would like someone to get up that tree and extract some balls, tie up a few loose ends so to speak ?
As much as I dislike Reed, wasn't it a blind tee shot? So you can't blame him IF he got the wrong tree, and then the rules official confirmed he could see Reed's ball in said tree, so Reed hasn't done anything wrong this time. Hope he bogeys the 18th to lose today though

Unless he'd already had his caddie put a ball up there, perhaps on a practice day, you know "just in case"Reed has to confirm he can identify his ball not the referee. Which he can’t do IF he’s not looking in the correct tree!

I've taken a screenshot and zoomed in. I am certain there are exactly 3 Topflites and 2 Pinnacles. A chap next to me has taken my word for it.i bet you wont find many Top Flites or Pinnacles up there
The best time to play is after a corporate day. Once a year golfers, spraying it all over, buying expensive balls to save face, maybe even on expenses ?. Happy days.Surprisingly, I have always found the more expensive the course I play the cheaper the balls I find.
