Hello all,

I'm Baz, instruction lead at Golf Monthly. Hope you are all well and have been able to get some golf in despite the poor weather of late (in the UK at least).

We are hosting an 'ask me anything' hour with a Golf Monthly Top 50 Coach this Friday at 4pm (GMT) and I wanted to personally invite you all to ask some questions to our expert.

Ged Walters has more than two decades of coaching experience as a PGA Pro and is giving up an hour of his time completely free to help amateurs play better golf in 2026.

If you want to ask a question, you can do so right now (or anytime before Friday) and Ged will respond to each and every one between 4pm and 5pm. Head back to article at any time in that hour, or later if that's more convenient, to see what expert advice Ged has for you.

The link to ask questions is here, https://www.golfmonthly.com/tips/pga-pro-answers-your-golf-questions, but you can also find it as a notice in the yellow banner at the top of this page. To ask a question, simply scroll down the article to where you can already see some questions from our Editor Neil Tappin and News Editor Elliott Heath. Even the GM team want some expert help with their game, so please take advantage of this opportunity and ask away.

Thanks,
Baz Plummer

Q: can you fit yourself for golf clubs if you have regular access to a Trackman?
Q: should a 18 handicap weekly golfer play two wedges or four?
Q: do you think that an 18 handicap is often unfairly penalised for played more forward tees, to the detriment of speed of play?
Q: if I take an inch off my driver shaft, but put on a lightweight grip, am I leaving swing weight the same?
Q: is the 3 wood a thing of the past, like the 1,2,3,4 iron - for mid to high handicappers?
Q: how can good golfers hit the ball so much further than me even when they appear to swing quite slowly?
Q: does a mid handicapper really need more than 9-10 clubs?

And then I saw that you have to follow the link haha. ;)

Thank you so much for your question! If anyone else wants some expert advice from a Top 50 Coach, please drop a question via the link above and you'll get a response tomorrow
