Last couple of weeks I’ve worn the s62 and tracked the calories during a round against MFP.

Around my course which is hilly and long theme average seems to be.

MFP 1800cals,
Garmin s62 1200cals

Top tip for working out in the gym - go with your wife and work out together. We have been going to the gym together for years but always did our own thing but now we work out together once or twice a week. It might be weights or our new favourite - ski erg/ bike intervals. We both work harder and enjoy pushing each other to do that little bit more.

I'd love that but my wife hates the gym!! Think going with a partner definitely spurs you on.

I'd forgotten how good it is working one to one with a PT. All upper body weights today. Free and on equipment. No way I could have done this session on my own.

We did that for about a month and a half but we both hate going still so it died off.

We still are about two years later.
Our gym opened just after we moved in (about 7 years ago) and we joined straight away - still pay the opening offer. It is only about 100 yards from the house so it is difficult to make excuses not to go and we have got into the routine of finishing about 4 pm and then going to the gym before we crash for the evening. After sitting at a desk all day it is good to get the heart going and can also get rid of any frustrations after long meetings!

I can't stress enough how much I hated going. Probably three separate times in my life I've had gym memberships and just not kept it up longer than two or three months. It's just so boring. On the cross-trainer I would sometimes put a video on on my phone which helped a bit, but for the resistance weight machines there was nowhere to place the phone for that. If I went now I'd maybe use podcasts, but I'm just so disinterested in the gym that I can never keep it up. I've always just maintained fitness through football, tennis, badminton etc but now I'm nearly 40 and with a toddler at home a lot of that has fallen by the wayside. Football is one game a week instead of three, and I've not done tennis or badminton in over a year.

Need ideas of high protein lunches for work if anyone has any. Thanks.
Same.

Aldi do these chicken skewers that are about 20g of protein and around 100kcals per skewer. I've been having a couple with salad and or in a wrap but you could also have rice with them too and heat up at work.

Eggs are one of the easiest. Boiled then sliced onto Ryvita with a touch of salt and sliced toms. Delicious. If calories not an issue then a few squirts of mayo and some grated cheddar. If you have a microwave then scrambled eggs and grated cheese...

I've used Gold Standard Nutrition microwave meals. They have normally 30g to 45g of protein. Most are no more the 500 calories.
I have a side salad with them, can bulk buy them and they come up at just over £3 a meal.

The pasta bolgnaise one is brilliant

The wife’s been making high protein flap jacks with roasted oats, peanut butter and maple syrup (I think). They are high in protein but I’m not sure healthy. John west do good pre packed tuna pasta meal for about £2.00-£2.50!5) that have about 25g of protein in.
