Signed up for a gym membership again recently but realised I need a PT so I have some structure again. Just booked my first session for next Monday.
This coaching that I won is really helping me keep focused. I think even having the myfitness app may be a good thing if people need, as you say, some kind of structure or drive to keep going..

I certainly need to get my backside in gear again. I've got Nutracheck as find that better. Well it will be if I start using it again:rolleyes:

This is a good thread that Marshy started, if we can give each other any sort of motivation / support on here, it’s good, it’s certainly not easy, but small steps.
I managed 10 full pull-ups tonight, in June this year, I couldn’t do 1 😂😂

It is the little things that help. All our work systems were down this morning so instead of just wasting my morning I went to the gym!! Unheard off that. I would have just sat there getting wound up.

Just discovered that the garmin s62 offers a fitness tracker via the connect app. Anyone used it?

My previous garmin was a fitness watch that did golf rather than (my current) garmin golf watch that does steps etc. So I've had connect for a few years
I didn’t use the connect app much when I had the Vivo watch , it covered a whole host of activities that I didn’t do so I really just used a couple of core ones plus heart rate and weight etc so didn’t dabble in the app much. Still have it set up and look at historical golf stuff/jogging routes etc but can see how it’d be very useful for those with different activities to track

I use it via the Fenix 6X for all my activities, use most of the functions in the App, it also connects to other fitness/food apps. Really like it.
Upload workouts etc.

All free as well

I've ran 27 miles this week, need around 80 for 1000 this year, and I weigh more than I did at the start of the year. Proves you can't outrun a bad diet.

Anyway, 1lb off this week, that I found last week.

Well done, I was targeting 1200 miles running this year. Due to injuries and illness for most of the year not even made it too 500 miles.
But just happy to be back running the last few weeks. 100 miles is a massive achievement!

Better to rest up so the injuries don't get worse, be out for longer then.

Running really helps me, especially after a dodgy day at work, clears the head. If I get the 1000 done this month, I'll push for another 100 next month and finish up at 1100.

Have been very cautious tbh, that why the lack of miles. Back upto around 5 miles at my old easy pace, slowly but surely
