Sorry guys, but holding the view that Bryson and Phil have helped transform the game is a pretty reasonable suggestion.
Phil is one of the greatest players of a generation, and has a very impressive win record despite playing in the Tiger era, and much of what he has done and said since joining LIV has been proved valid, with the reactions from the PGAT.
And Bryson raised the bar on distance, don't forget, even Rory admitted that the presence of Bryson had disrupted his game as he himself went looking for the kind of distance the BDC was hitting the ball.
And fundamentally, they are both great entertainment within the game - which is what brings in the punters.

The vast majority of people see the above though as laughably preposterous. While most people can generally see some basis to an opposing view while simultaneously nevertheless disagreeing with it, that someone can genuinely hold the above view is beyond belief for most. Thats why it does invite scepticism and troll type assumptions.

and for all Bryson’s comments and actions about hitting it far…guess what, he no longer is getting bigger etc as he suddenly realised that the way he did it wasn’t good for his health. You’d think he‘d have known that as he was so scientific.

My thoughts on this thread are that it’s so much like the Brexit thread before it got banned.
Too much polarisation of beliefs. Liv’s either brilliant or terrible. Not much middle ground.
Personally I don’t think LIV has been successful enough in getting enough big names. Whilst it has several players I’ll miss if i didn’t see them again, who are top players and always will be not matter what they play in (a fit Koepka, DJ, Smith, Reed wtc), there are too many also rans and those closing out their careers for
Such a small field.
The PGA tour can cope with more nobodies as it has a much larger field. LIV can’t in my view.

Isn’t Eamon Lynch the guy that was dismissed by a few for spreading nonsense about the LIV/PGAT deal ?
It also includes the play of events which don’t have cuts anyway - so three other events ?

I’m not sure when Mickelson “transformed” the game - he has had a stellar career but it was at the same time as Woods who did take the game to another level
But he is also now very tainted because of his actions last year during his “recruiting” and the gambling debts ( the imo main reason he went to LIV )
BDC built muscle to hit it further - he did what some others have done but took it further and it’s looking like he didn’t think it through too well as it’s caused him issues since
Them been entertaining is certainly a personal preference.

You use to bash him at EVERY opportunity,until LIV came along that is
The loss of Ron Cross is a big hit to the LIV tournament running capability. Could quite well be the start of the disbandment.

36 hole cuts are starting to disappear from Pro Golf.
Wouldn't be surprised if they only survive in the majors in the future.

I'm not so sure. I think they'll find fans are generally not interested in watching players who are miles off the lead after a couple of rounds, no matter the player.
And I reckon most players would prefer the dignity of missing a cut, rather than the embarrassment of being forced to play on after a shocking couple of rounds

The cut is a bit round rounds 1 and 2 of the FA cup, it provides a little bit of interest, occasionally there's an upset when a big name goes out, and it's always great to see a lesser team come through into the later stages, but in real terms, it doesn't hold much commercial value - I suspect not that many people are glued to their screens watching the action.
No cut events are more akin to the champions league, where the vast majority of competitors are credible - and before anybody jumps down my throat, I know that some of the players on LIV still don't fit that criteria, but in a broader sense, the notion of a no cut event is a commercial no brainer.
