Nope, you still don't get it. If someone went through this whole thread, I don't recommend it, and counted the pro and anti posts, the anti would win 3 or 4 to 1, imo. Think about that.

If it is nonsensical, ignore it. I often see nonsense posted in threads and if it is that daft I don't reply because I think, 'well everyone can see this is daft, there is no point in keeping this going'. If you think LIV is that daft, ignore the posts.

Leave the thread to people who quite like LIV, yes, there are some out there.

See it going forward, but if you look back through the thread, I think is is clear that it is a couple, or even one in particular, of LIV followers, that keep it going.
It can be a slipping down the page of updated threads, and be unchanged for days. But rather than die off, is brought to the top again by even the smallest LIV triviality, tenuously linked news, standard issue 'rumour' or 'leak' that everyone now knows are completely without foundation, a youtuber hitting a ball over his house, their personal fantasy LIV team developments, or, if all fruit fails, then a commentless link to a tweet.
Have a look back. That is what keeps it going.

Currently LIV is part of the golfing world and is very much a talking point so I’m not sure why it’s an issue if someone is a fan of it posts about it

Is this a fair summary?

LIV has bribed indisputably elite players with multiple millions to play LIV events — the PIF has essentially a bottomless pit of money

The PGA Tour has bribed indisputably elite players with multiple millions with the PIP and through ‘elevated events’ to stay on the PGA Tour — the PGA Tour has almost / came close to bankrupted itself in the process ——and led to serious discussions with the two entities

No-one seems to know what the detente / rapprochement between the two tours will bring

Some people like the team aspect of LIV, others don’t and prefer more traditional format of 72 holes etc. and really don’t like LIV

As I can remember, therefore, one of the key reasons people don’t like LIV, is the involvement of Saudi Arabia and sportswashing / human rights abuses…..which is certainly a fair point….and therefore I would hope that those on this thread and are clearly football fans, will also not watch the World Cup in Saudi Arabia, and not watch their beloved team when they play in the Premier League vs Newcastle Utd
