Is this a fair summary?

LIV has bribed indisputably elite players with multiple millions to play LIV events — the PIF has essentially a bottomless pit of money

The PGA Tour has bribed indisputably elite players with multiple millions with the PIP and through ‘elevated events’ to stay on the PGA Tour — the PGA Tour has almost / came close to bankrupted itself in the process ——and led to serious discussions with the two entities

No-one seems to know what the detente / rapprochement between the two tours will bring

Some people like the team aspect of LIV, others don’t and prefer more traditional format of 72 holes etc. and really don’t like LIV

As I can remember, therefore, one of the key reasons people don’t like LIV, is the involvement of Saudi Arabia and sportswashing / human rights abuses…..which is certainly a fair point….and therefore I would hope that those on this thread and are clearly football fans, will also not watch the World Cup in Saudi Arabia, and not watch their beloved team when they play in the Premier League vs Newcastle Utd

Heck of a tangent

Why would people not watch their own team because of the opposition 🤷‍♂️

And people were very vocal when it came to the Qatar World Cup and currently very vocal about a potential World Cup in Saudi

I would expect most decent human beings to show a level of concern to a countries human rights issues if its poor and certainly the way they treat certain groups of people

No tangent whatsoever Arthur

I don’t care about non-major golf. Really, I couldn’t give a monkeys. And I barely care about pro golf in the majors either - I don’t really care who wins aside from liking Fleetwood, and most (not all) of the British golfers….honestly, pro golf affects my life not one iota.

My only gripe is your refusal or inability to be consistent in your opinions

You criticise LIV because it’s “not got elite golfers” — when it objectively absolutely has — and “bribes with money” — that’s precisely the same as the PGA Tour has done with PIP

You criticise it for sportswashing (fair enough) and yet you seemingly have no problem with Saudi involvement in Newcastle and no doubt will watch every minute of the World Cup

Or are you on a football forum as well, as ‘Arthur Football’ castigating the Saudi PIF involvement in football?

Don’t think you could be any further from the truth

I was as critical of PIF buying Newcastle as I was PIF trying to buy golf

PIP is a bonus that has been criticised by many

Maybe you are struggling to read that fact

No it's you that doesn't get it. One nonsensical post will generate a multitude of replies. It's not difficult to understand.
Case in point........

This is one of the most inflammatory comments of today. LIVers can't talk about the golf without slamming the PGAT>My Goodness!

"As the year nears its end, do let us all know how the PIP gets divvied-out this year —— whatever spurious reasons they can conjure up for giving Tiger & co. more millions - and the straight faces pulled by the PGA Tour Fanbois / suckers to explain it all away, certainly gives the rest of us a good laugh!"

This is an example of the point I was making yesterday - Kevin Na 1st spoke to the Yubin a year back but didn't have a slot for him on the team as it was taken up by Keiran Vincent who came through the qualification event. With the number of promotion spots now restricted the teams have more flexibility to pick the right player for their team, Iron Heads are clearly looking to represent the East Asia region where Yubin is already a really popular young golfer - obviously one that's brought in to see if he can develop his potential but those players are essential to the league.

Won’t be much different to Adidas with them being the same level of brand

With them being owned by the same company that own Greg Norman golf I’m surprised it’s took this long to get involved

Well I guess that they (Reebok) were waiting for a worthwhile platform to re-introduce their golf clothing Phil, and the existing tours just weren't cutting it for them.
It does say it's a long term deal on the LIV socials - but that can't be right, cos I'm pretty sure you've repeatedly told us LIV doesn't have a future.. 🤣

Guess we will have to wait and see - I’m sure Reebok will be delighted with the minimal exposure it will get on the golf course

I’m sure we will see Reebok golf stuff in a Sports Direct soon enough next to the Dunlop stuff 👍
