I’m sure Greg will make a statement about his and LIV’s position when it’s appropriate - but for now I’d imagine the players want to focus on a major.

The LIV players are clearly aware of the pathway they are on, Bryson, Cam, DJ have all confirmed they’ve spoken with people at LIV (Al-Rumayyan).

I know you think everything is going to go back to the way it was, just with a load of Saudi cash, but it really isn’t.

Team golf, global events with world class fields - it’s all part of the future.

I seriously hope not, the Ryder Cup is an excellent and much anticipated team event, but if it were held every couple of months I would lose interest pretty quickly and that's with teams that I can identify with.

Is that the same Greg who was talking constantly before and during the Masters ? And then once again before and during the USPGA ?

The same Greg who has been vocal every single week has suddenly changed tack since the merger talk that he wasn’t involved in ?

What the “future” is right now is very much unknown on any side - these world wide world class fields - I’ll be amazed if you see them “world wide” - even LIV concentrated on US as opposed to world wide and went to less countries than what the ET goes too

Yeah, the same one.

Maybe his job is done now Phil, whether this deal goes through or not, the PGAT’s stranglehold on world golf has been severely compromised. If that’s what Greg was aiming for, he’s accomplished it, and might well be quite happy to step aside.

Thats what I alluded to yesterday... the dude is 68 years old, he's just spent a couple of years making sure his pension is well and truely sorted and can focus on doing sweet FA for the rest of his life if he chooses to.

I think there is a high chance that right now he is prob very angry and prob trying to find a way to keep it all going via other funding

He has been very very vocal over the last 18 months , even more so around majors etc and for him to be silent right now speaks volumes Imo. If LIV was confirmed to carry on going etc then he would be shouting it from the roof tops and be very vocal about the PGAT going bowl in hand to PIF

Unless 1. He has been told he will have nothing to do with anything in the future or 2. His LIV tour will go - imo

I think Greg Norman's nett worth pre-LIV was over $300 million. I think it is around $400 million now.

I'm not sure he was trying to sort his pension over the last few years, so that he could focus on doing sweet FA. If that was his ambition, he could have done that years ago I'd have thought. Like many business people, they have other ambitions. LIV is clearly something that motivated him, and I doubt that will have just vanished after the announcement last week, and now he is looking forward to retirement.

Hard to believe from reading that, that Greg Norman offered to sit down right at the beginning of all this, to work on a mutual solution with the PGAT.

Jay playing the victim there I’m afraid..
Is it that hard to believe? Almost everyone in the professional golf world gives Greg a wide birth.

If he’s going to jump ship to cash in and play with his mate Sergio. He should at least put his big boy pants in and say so.
It's a collage of decontextualised quotes from a Sports Illustrated article, which itself is probably a collage of decontextualised answers given to questions by the interviewer, which weren't published.
Pretty lame bit of manipulation. When he decides what he's going to do, he'll probably say so in actual unambiguous language. In the meantime, it just looks like more made up stuff.
