Not sure. I think there will be too many parallel conversations about blood money and shorts, that a broader thread may be neededThe Professional Golf thread?

The team element with ALL the best golfers in the world could be great if they do it right..
Really interested to see how they are going to knit it all together.
I think we will just get more elevated events - but some that incorporate a team aspect in some way. And they have to keep hold of some events in different countries etc. Probably more in the middle east!
Its going to be really interesting to see how it pans out!
I actually think there will be less elevated events - you can have too much of a good thing and from comments made by some, and the PGA statement issued to Players today regarding developing the team element, it looks like the Majors are protected but everything else is up for grabs. Good day to be in the top 70 odd players I think.... not so much otherwise.
Another sport sold out, I can't think of any that have been improved by oil money.
Odds on a player's strike..?
I actually feel sorry for Rory. Splashed out as the face of the PGA Tour against the evil entity trying to take over golf. Then it looks like they've ribbed him from behind.
Apparently Greg was told just before the TV interview......suspect he's out as it seems he had no involvement in any talksSo reading it seems
2023 carries on as it is
Once 2023 season is finished the players apply to rejoin the PGAT or DP Tour
No mention of Greg Norman - has he gone ?
No mention of LIV events after ?
So have PIF said - LIV isn’t working , let’s use those billions and buy a stake in the PGAT instead.
Rahm and Garcia could pair up together, wouldn't be at all surprised if they picked up a few points together then every man for himself in the singles. I doubt that 1 unpopular guy would ruin the team room, look at how popular Reed is and the yanks still perform with him in the team. They won it 2 out of the 3 times he was selected. And you can understand where he's coming from but it's a bit of self-interest. Takes more than one guy wanting him on the team. If a significant number of them came out and backed Rahm's take that'd be a different story but I just can't see that happening.
This is opening pandoras box big time for other sports
