Kuch 3rd time around!

Read the thread

Disparaging reference to God Botherers.

Instead of moaning about it and trying to tarnish the thread with it why not just report what you find offensive?

I'm sure if the mods were aware that you were upset they would do something about your concerns.

I’d imagine a player with Kuchars ability to be expecting to win.
Players at that level are all trying to win.
Again you seem to be confused about the difference here. I'd argue that almost nobody EXPECTS to win, not since Tiger was in his prime.

Blinking flip.. This seems to have rumbled on a bit now eh? ;)

FWIW, Kuch paid out more than he agreed. I have no real issue with that. Personally, I'd have tipped more, but there was no obligation to.. People making a big thing about it now just seem to want to drag someone's name through the mud. Kuch is a bit tight, so what? Doesn't make him a bad guy.. I'm more annoyed by the way the Caddy handled it TBH..

Caddy didn't do anything until it hit the press. Caddy didn't out it, he kept quiet until traced by reporters so how can you blame the caddy?

There is a pretty decent article in the New York Times yesterday that provides a bit more background into the subsequent "request" for more money. Worth reading.

Prior to the Mayokoba Classic his last win was in 2014 - I don't think he was expecting to win considering he didnt have his regular caddy on the bag and the Mexican caddie didn't speak english.

Just read it.. He politely requested more money. That's fair. He turned down an additional $15000. Now that's greedy. He's not a Tour Caddy. I've no doubt he did a good job, but the fee he agreed was paid, and a (very) small bonus.. As said, I'd have paid more, but Kuch was under no obligation to..
Oh, and I don't even particularly like Kuch. That big daft stupid "aw shucks" grin grates me like cheese, but I don't think he deserves to be called out on this..

I think you will find I'm on record as saying he should have accepted the $15k which I'm also confident that has he been offered that at the time he would have gladly accepted.

Likewise I find that false grin unbearable. Kuch has created this car crash. Lots of snippets are now coming out too which would probably have stayed buried if he'd acted more "honourably".

The NYT just gives a bit of insight.

Just in case you all haven't had enough, latest story (admittedly from twitter as I know some don't like it as a source) is the same caddy helped Alex Cejka to a top 10 (7th) in 2017 and got paid $900 for the week. Player winnings that day were £177k so seems Kuch may not be alone and it's common when you hire a local caddy.

Fair play.

We can get back to the big grinning smile now and forget about it.

Be nice if they working together again next year.
