How long is your course?

Just curious. Since joining my current club, I'm struggling to reach a lot of the par 4s in two.

Off the competition tees, mines 6909 yards

Longest par 4 is 451 yards.

to be fair if you were able to get on all par 4s in 2 your handicap would be less than it is now

I know, it just annoys me that I can hit two good shots and still be nowhere near!

Hit a good drive and a good 3 wood today with wind behind and only just made the green on one!

I go away to courses like Blacknest which is about a thousand yards shorter than mine and end up playing way under handicap.

7213 off the back, couple of long 4's and a par 3 that plays 226... have hit driver into it before when the wind blows

6900 is a big course for amateurs. Depending on terrain 450 yards is a long way for a par 4. Realistically - although not on here - 250yards for a drive still leaves 200 to the green. Not alot of us would expect to reach a par 4 that long in 2 shots on a regular basis. Our longest par 4 is about 430 uphill and I rarely hit that one in regulation.

One is 7007 off the Blue 6866 off the medal and 6408 off the yellows.

Other is 6630 off the medal and 6229 off the yellow.

9 holer is 2327.

All of them are a good test.

6675 from the whites, at this time of year thats a very long way as I found out yesterday .

Longest par 4 is the 16th, a real brute at 466 yards that plays even longer as its uphill the whole way and turns slightly to the left. I'm always happy if I get out of it with a 5.

6427 yards off the whites with the longest par 4 being 441 yards, the first is a 217 yard par 3, usually into the wind

....I loose most of my shots on the shorter par 3's!!!

Wow mine is 6477 off the whites.

Longest Par 5 is 577.
Longest Par 4 is 439.
Longest Par 3 is 234.

Off the yellows its still 6222, and the ladies tee's are @ 5977.

I wish I was playing at some of the tracks you lot have.

Saying that a lot of people on here can hit all the Par 4's at my track with a 9iron, and the par 5's with a wood followed by a LW.

Our 4th is a 484 yard par 4, when the wind blows its impossible. Not many pars come in usually

6164 yards off the whites, but only par 69. SSS is 70, so it is no push over. Course record 63 set by Steve Richardson (Ryder cup player) Five par 3's and two par fives. Hardest hole the 10th, 450 yards to a raised green, with the dread OB down the right. Most of the greens are raised, so holes play a club longer than you think.

Off the yellows just under 6000 yards, SSS 69. Fair test for both low and higher handicaps.

6263 off yellows, 6545 off whites, can play longer as up and down the hills which can be very boggy this time of year.

My course is fairly tight par 71 Whites - 5904 Yellows - 5457.

Although very short you only hit driver probably 7 times the rest of it needs good iron tee shots, due to various dog legs and hazards.

Easy course if you plot your way round but if your a member on here and you hit your driver 350 yards you may struggle as its hard to use that massive drive anywhere. :-D

Mines short, but there's blinking gorse everywhere. 6085 yards Par 71 (SSS 70).

Nairn is 6774 off the championship tee's these are the tee's used when the Walker cup was played there. I think we only have a couple of comps a year off these. Medal tee's are 6436. Par 71 off the medal and i think the css is about 73.
Tain is 6404 off the medal and the css is usually 72 par 70. all depends on the wind at both off these

Our 14th Hole is 457 yards and even with a driver and 3 wood I cannot make it in 2. The 10th is 432 yards but usually in to the wind and I can only reach that with 2 'Sunday Best' shots and a bit if favourable roll.

FourPutt. At your handicap you n are not expected to be on long par fours in two. You get a shot on 13 holes and two shots on five.So just aim to be on par fours in three. On in two is a bonus.
