Over the past 5 months we have gone from bog to dessert but finally this last two weeks has seen some semblance of typical summer conditions, up until this weekend.
It is Captains Weekend and the last few days have seen rain of biblical proportions, so much so that last night the club warned the entrants for todays scramble that each team had to bring a fairway mat.
The rational being that if the course received any overnight heavy rain, and with each team playing shots from the same spot, if it became too soft then mats would be mandated.
I don't yet know how it panned out.
