Well I think that the phrase "you live and learn" comes to mind. I agree, and certainly will be doing in the future, that you should just duck and cover your head and this is what I normally do, but for some reason I turned and started to duck. Oh well, at least I'm still here to tell the story I suppose and hope it may have prevented some of you guys going through the same. I knew I'm come out with a good tip one day!!!

As far as the uninsured bit is concerned, I dont know, I think it would be a case of digging deep again!

Thanks for the kind words guys, the lip is twice the size again this morning and drinking beer through a straw last night got me p'd very quickly!

Ouch, hope you get sorted soon, but must say & to exho others, I also do not turn into the sound of the incoming Fore scream.. I turn away, duck, making myself a small a target as possible, covering my head with my arms. I've never been hit by a ball yet, but you can hear an aproaching ball well before it is likely to hit anyway.

Covered or not by insurance we all do know how potentially dangerous golf can be, though, its a thought most of us generally choose not to dwell upon too much.

Yet another reminder to myself to get golf insurance! I really must get it sorted.

Anyway sorry to hear of your misfortune- that would take some guts to carry on the round with your teeth in pieces. Did you just put them in your pocket or something!? Best of luck with a speedy recovery though.

hope your better soon , your a true soldier for finishing ,

cant help thinking this could have been avoided, first of all the shout should have been earlier , its also a good idea to shout if you think the ball is just going in the general direction of a player even if it hasnt got a chance of hitting them , it at least gives them a cahnce to act strait away , i also think you could have avoided it , if you heard the shout from behind , why would you turn to face the ball and look for it ?

im the king of daft accidents lol but i think this is good advice on the course ..

regards
