European Ryder Cup Team

And thats saying something.

Am I missing something here by reading a few of these comments you could be doing with the hole being a tad bigger and you seem to concur with the comments that your putting is rather poor, do you suffer from the YIP's ?

Thread hi-jacking with constant reference to bigger holes......that's how it starts.........here we go!

OK, well I laughed, but this could get old very quickly.

Why would you ignore Paul Lawrie for a chopper like Quiros????

Kaymer is also struggling these days and I would not include him unless he makes it on merit.

Harrington is on the slide, he'll never win again!

I agree that Harrington is on the slippery slope, Paul Lawrie I am sure will be in the team without question but why is Luke not at the top of the list he has proved time and time again HE is the worlds #1 and McIlroy is not the real deal IMHO.

Whoever gets picked better have thick skin, the US crowd are going to be ruthless.

At the moment my 12 would be

McIlroy & G-Mac
Poulter & Rose
Donald & Sergio
Westwood & Colsaerts
Kaymer & Hanson
Molinari & Manassero

My Personal Team would be the following:

Rory McIroy
Graeme McDowell
Luke Donald
Justin Rose
Lee Westwood
Paul Lawrie
Sergio Garcia
Martin Laird ** Consistant performer last 2-3 years in the USA **
Darren Clarke ** Deserves one last pop, great matchplayer **
Ross Fisher **Currently in form with 4 top 10's in last 5 starts **
Thomas Bjorn ** 3 wins last year & still playing ok **
Simon Dyson ** Consistant as they come **

Now i dont expect 10 of these to qualify , as i expect Colsaerts and Hansen to make the team and if that was the case i would then take Clarke & Fisher as my 2 picks.

To be honest it is still way too early to get worried about. Yes hypothetical teams are grand and I am loving some of the cases being put forward but as long as Jose gets it right when it matters and we win I don't care if Smiffy, RickG and Murph get the call
