So 8 or 9 have definitely been chosen, them being:-

Henrik Stenson
Victor Dubuisson
Jamie Donaldson
Sergio Garcia
Thomas Bjorn
Justin Rose
Martin Kaymer
Graeme McDowell**
**The Caveat here being is that McDowell currently holds the 9th automatic spot, but does not play this week and if Stephen Gallacher has a good showing in Italy and can finish in the top 2 then he would get the automatic number 9 spot, McDowell would then probably be a shoe in for one of the wild cards.
On paper it looks like a god solid team, with all in there playing some very good golf this season, obvious omissions are Westwood and Poulter, but neither have set the golfing world on fire this season, but both have been Ryder Cup stalwarts in previous years, so I guess the question is would you pick Poulter and/or Westwood and/or neither for this years team.
And do you think this years team that has been named to date is a good team?
