So my lad play a game called Skylanders, its on Xbox and is a character game where you use a physical toy, place it on a portal and he is then on screen and you play as him..

Anyway..... I scratched his disc, had forgotten to save the game to the HDD, so ended up buying a new one from Tesco for 33 quid. Opened it, backed the disc up to my xbox HDD, tested with the old disc and it was fine! Happy days. I felt morally wrong taking this new one back to tesco, so stuck it on ebay with a very honest description.

Sunday, was in sainsburys and saw they now have this for sale at 25 quid!!! Damn..

Not to worry, the one i am selling on ebay ends in 30 mins and is at 31 quid! Plus 3 quid postage!!! are people mental? Lazy? Think everything on ebay is a bargain??

Pretty much. There are plenty on there who clearly do no research, see something they like and just keep bidding. Great if you are a seller.

LOL is now at 35 quid. 2 quid more than i paid for it in tesco, and its been opened and they have to pay delivery!! I'm off to sainsburys to buy them all at 25 quid each!! ten quid profit every time!

Seen it many times cheaper in shops than on ebay its just idleitis.
Better one to me is the auction which is bid up higher ghan the same thing on buy it now..... go figure !

Skylanders must have made someone some serious money.
My son was obsessed with it & insisted he needed a earth/wind/water character.
Cost me a fortune.
Bring back Alex the Kid.

Adizero's was the biggest case of idleitis, £12.99 from sports direct and then some were been sold on ebay a week later for £30.

I once sold a Callaway driving iron for about £30, only about 9 months ago. I started it at 99p and had a buy it now at £20. Still can't get my head round that one.

I use buy it now with best offer these days, often people just buy it now even though they could make an offer and save money.

Shopping often includes transport costs higher than P&P, not true for most supermarkets though...

I would rather pay a pound more to get from eBay than have to drive into town, park, shop, probably eat out then drive home!

Shopping online saves money in more than just the cost of the item, the only consumed commodities are a cup of tea and a biscuit!

I've seen a lot of games go for more on eBay than new in the supermarkets. I've even seen 2nd hand games on Game.co.uk selling for a few quid more than new in Sainsburys. Madness.

Mrs Doon is fizzing, she bought an extention lead which arrived faulty...too tight for plug.
Sent it back for a replacement [postage £3].
Heard nothing for a week, emailed company who say they never received it.........Oh yea.

Seen similar happen many times - basically, once a bid is offered, the buy now option is removed, at least that's how I understand it.

Personally, when buying on ebay, I know how much the item costs on general sale elsewhere, set myself a price and then stick with that. If I don't get it, I don't get it..... unless it's something I really want ;-)
