London has got fantastic restaurants for all cuisines at all budgets. 69 restaurants with Michelin stars (New York has 76), but also hugely cosmopolitan with a massive diversity of international flavours. You missed out big time.

If you want proper British food, the only restaurant in London is Rules, in Covent Garden.

I checked the menu online.
Roast Rib of Beef was the only entrée offered that I actually eat.
I hope that it's good.
