Played Nairn last year with Patricks148 when up at the Dornoch Castle Stuart trip. I really enjoyed it, played in absolute sunshine too. Also played Royal Aberdeen with Val in their Open, it is just top class! Defo up for it again next year

I hope to play Nairn this year as well but thats Nairn & Portnoo which is in Donegal mate, anyone looking to play Scotscraig is more than welcome to play there with me if they want

What a thread and where to start?

Scotland

Ladybank and Scotscraig are in my radar too, and to that Cruden Bay, Murcar, Craigielaw and North Berwick which I hope to have all tucked off in 2015.

Desirables

Trump Aberdeen
Turnberry
Old Course
Troon
Prestwick
Carnoustie

In England

Goswick, S&A, WoodhallSpa, Alwoodley all on the immediate radar along with Royal Birkdale (take note NW boys if any of you fancy treating yourselves)

UK Desirables - too many to mention but hope to play some of these over the next 2 years

Woburn
Centurion
Bearwood Lakes
Royal Portrush
Royal County Down

I would also like to play all current and past open rota courses, only played 3 so far so best get the finger out.

There are plenty that are fairly local to me which I've not done but should have:

Sherwood Forest
Notts
Lindrick
Little Aston
Whittington Heath
Then, a bit further a field but I should like to get to in the near future:
Brancaster
Hunstanton
Sheringham
Cromer

I will do Martin, I've missed it due to my shift rota in the past so hopefully get there this year. I did look at there website last week and the standard green fee is over £150 now.

There open price was £50 last year which was up from £30, it was still full

Great value at £50 iMO

What's wrong with that? He wants to play it and hasn't got round to it.

Nothing at all, personal choice. Just doesn't strike me as the sort of course to be at the top of someone's list.
