I like Ant Man, I like the humour so I'm okay with the bigger role. I suppose they had fewer characters to do different jobs, until the very end, so it makes sense that he would do a little more.

What got me was, in terms of Avengers, it seems like ant man is only ever effective when he’s the size of a building!

Also (remember he’s basically just a cat-burglar) when he gets back after 5 years away, finds out what’s happened and casually suggests inventing time travel, which is kind of scoffed at then Stark has a rethink and invents it a couple hours later!

Slab, you are right about the invention of time travel, it was really shoe horned into this film. I thought it was clumsily done, not their finest hour, but sometimes you need to gloss over that. They needed a trick, couldn't think of one, went with this. Forget the clunkiness, enjoy the rest.

(on the Big Bang Theory they have accidentally taken apart some of their favourite films when dissecting them and ruined them going forward. They are always funny scenes. You could easily do that with this film, no question)

They didn't say, but that could have easily been more like weeks than hours. Given that when he turns up back at the Avengers warehouse, they're already at the testing phase with sending Ant-Man time travelling, which would also surely take more than 24 hours to arrive at, given that they only just posed the idea to Banner. I figured that would have taken a couple of weeks but they just glossed over it to save time.

Ant man was an original avenger in the comics though so makes sense to build him in. His films have been very successful

The more humorous the films the better. Dc went too dark with theirs and they have panned

Really pains me as I’m a massive dc fan but marvel pees all over them film wise

At least dc got the tv series right with arrow flash and legends

Have you seen Shazam? I enjoyed it, it had more humour than the usual DC fare which I've largely given up on. Not brilliant but good fun.

saw this last night with a group of friends, whilst we all enjoyed it, we all seemed to be a little underwhelmed at the end. For us, the wow factor came from the episode from that other show in the other thread on Monday night ;):). Always been an Avengers fan, used to get the comics back in the 70's when I was a mere boy. Have enjoyed the films, but think I'm happy to let go of Marvel now.

It looked to me like he didn't recognise anyone until he saw his fat Chinese mate. Who could have also vanished when he did. Remember 50% of the schoolkids would be in the same scenario. :p
