Farrell seems to have brought his kicking boots.

Not over yet though.

Farrell is a class act. Will be great to see more of him with go-forward ball though. Another huge step-up though next week against our friends from across the Severn!!!

Wife is out with friends; kids are just finishing off their dinner and then will be getting them in bed before settling down for the France Ireland match with a nice bottle of Rioja for company! :whoo:

I was able to get 2 tickets for England v Wales in 2 weeks on O2 priority. It will be my first rugby match - at least England are still in with a shout!

I am sitting about half way up at one end - is that a good view point?

Wow - you'll love it and the atmosphere at Twickers is just amazing. I quite like being behind the posts although would take binoculars if the play is at the other end!

If England get their collective backsides in gear and give a performance worthy of the shirts they are wearing then any seat will be a good view... If they continue to perform as they have today and last week the view from the bar may well be the best in the house!

I dunno. I feel encouraged as under Johno we'd have lost both games by ill discipline. There have been some positives for a young, inexperienced new line-up... Farrell for one who could well be the next Johnny and almost as handsome  Robshaw has the makings of a good skipper and we've missed that since the likes of Dallaglio and Johnson imho. A time of transition but I think/hope moving in the right direction...

Just about spot on Amanda, however you spoilt it with the "handsome" bit (even though we all still love Wilko to bits!!) As a Quins fan really pleased for Robshaw and the way he has led the team. Thought he had a good game today - carried and reycycled the ball really well and threw himself into tackles. Positive so far, but still room for loads of improvement. Next week will be the true marker as to where they're at.

I miss the beautiful Johnny but reckon Owen just needs a few years and a few knocks to his a bit too perfect boyish face and I'll be happy :whoo:

Robshaw is a leader and agree next week is the true test but I feel positive that we can win and the comeback today was also something we've been lacking.

Can't believe they called off the France Ireland match just before it was due to get underway! Who would build a national stadium and not put in undersoil heating..............hang on a sec, better check whether Twickenham and Wembley have before I slag off the French :D

They knew it was going to be extremely cold and allowed everyone to travel. Seems like they were hoping it would warm up but did not look at the forecast. European weather was always going to be colder than here.

I think that England are going as well as can be expected at the moment. We ground out a win (helped by Scotland throwing it away) last week and won in difficult conditions today that should have suited a hugely experienced Itlay pack. Farrell is looking very good and the pack is looking solid. Ben Youngs seems to be unable to get back his early form (for England and Tigers) and should be on the bench for the next match and Morgan should start at 8 on the back of 2 good performances off the bench.

Team selection will be interesting for the next match with Flood, Tuillagi and Lawes all available after injury. I am not sure any have a right to walk back into the team but the lineout did not have a great day so Lawes may get a start. His added mobility around the pitch may help as well. Flood my end up warming the bench with Youngs to come on as replacement pair. Tuillagi should play in the centers with Farrell but Barrett has not done anything to warrant being dropped.

England are slowly building with no hype or hyperbole and that is how it should be. There is enough youth and quality in this side to potentially be a threat in the next world cup and that should be the focus.

Just to add, there is no match next week unless they use that weekend to play the France v Ireland match. Next weeked is one of the two rest weekends for the tournament.

It was frustrating watching Italy play yesterday. Any half decent team would have kept England out in that situation.

Living in Leeds means that I have seen what Lancasters style of play is and it is NOT GOING TO BE EXCITING!! He coaches like an Old School South Adfrican with a seige mentality. Defence wins games and penalties off the other teams mistakes will make the difference on the scoreboard.

thing then he will keep the job. If they go down to the 3 better teams then he will say I managed to blood 10 new players for the next manager. Hodgson has actually done a decent job over the last two games. His passing is quick and accurate and he allows people to run onto the ball at pace. His 2 tries have been the difference for England.

I am just happy to see our defences are looking good, bothitaly tries came from "freak" plays, so that can't be defended. Barrit looks superb defensively and does anyone else see a bit of the Richie macaws in robshaw? He could develop into a fantastic open side... 8 and 9 had a huge impact off the bench and deserve a start in my eyes...
